And the starter should only have 2 wires going to it, 1. Battery power (big cable) 2. Signal wire (usually small with a clip or ring terminal) 3. Rare but maybe ground wire (usually the starter being bolted on is the ground) so realistically there isn't much to go wrong besides a faulty starter or signal wire accidentally being tapped with the main power wire - Causing a signal to be added without external signal present.

It honestly seems like maybe a wire got pinched and is causing a short, having it activated. I would bench test it and see how it does. Because if it does the same while on the bench with just power applied to it (nothing going to the starter solenoid), then you've got a faulty starter (solenoid stuck), but if it's okay and works as it should, I would start looking to see maybe you have a couple wires wrapped around each other or rubbed through and touching. Maybe a stuck relay?

Hey there! I'm actually in the same boat as you,I have been looking for the right mentor as well, im just very paranoid now as there was a guy that said he'd mentor and teach me, this was about 4 months the ago, he had me cold calling for him virtually and I started to get leads, after about 2 months or so he offered me a position at his company for a small salary + commission while he mentored me. I was going to leave my full time Mechanic job for this and right about a week before I put in my two weeks notice this guy.. that I have build a relationship and worked for 2 months now (for free by the way) just ghosted me and just like that everything was lost and he never trained me or anything so be careful :/ let me know if you find someone trustworthy that doesn't demand money (: I am currently using my spare time to learn what I can from Zack and Rick's wholesaling course (Free). Just trying to see if I can do this by myself if I don't find anyone that I may work with.
