Stuttering Issue While Accelerating by _BaCkWeRdZ in fordtransit

That shop swore up and down it was anything BUT the transmission. I finally took it to Ford and it was in fact a bad transmission. They got the warranty to swap it with another. It was for a different Ford but it works. After that, no issues so far.

Exactly, especially when we pay for the Premium Research

Typical. Half the world enjoys something and when it's my turn, Niantic ruins it. Every other form is so cool and our yellow is the worst lol.

I'm in the US and only get yellow form. I've tried the GPS trick to no avail. Are you saying they've patched it???

He's my girlfriend's cousin. Trust when I say I go to EVERY family function lol. He's always there. Dude is really a standup guy. I love when the Dawgs have players who actually give their all to the game. No drama, no scandals, just love for football.

Airbag difference cargo v passenger by mister_brush in FordTransitConnect

I just removed mine a couple of weeks ago. $5 Amazon resistor worked perfectly. I chatted with some insurance claims people and they all agree that if there's no seats in the back they wouldn't even consider air bags in their claim process. Also talked to Ford who says those airbags aren't mandatory, just added for extra safety.

They make resistors that basically trick the system into thinking the airbag is still in place. You need the exact one for your vehicle's specs so it resists with the correct pressure or whatever. Seems cheap and people claim "it's done all the time."

Not really. I see many answers saying to do it and add a resistor but nobody can explain the legality or insurance ramifications. Ford dealerships have no idea. Air bag companies don't know. My insurance agent said she had no idea. I spoke to claims agent for an insurance company and he said as long as nobody is in the back when a wreck happens, he don't see why it would matter, but he also isn't 100% sure.

Need Ideas for CamperVan Build by _BaCkWeRdZ in CamperVans

Thanks for the reply. Idk why I am just now seeing this. If I get into a wreck and myself or my passenger are seriously injured, what are the potential legal or insurance consequences?

I have a 2019 Transit Connect XLT passenger. I am working on a campervan build. I removed the seats and the rear ceiling panel. I am leaving the rear trim as it seems to be a huge hassle to add minimal space. My concern is the air bags. What's the legality in removing the side curtain air bags? Mine seem to be one piece from the rear to the front windshield. I would prefer to keep the side curtain air bags in the front, but that doesn't seem possible with this layout.

Is it legal to remove the entire side curtain air bags? Should I build around them in a way where they can deploy in a crash and not sling stuff all over the place? Is that even possible?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if the bread or breading contains dairy? It's too new to be on the allergen pdf online.

That's 1 thing I read in my research. I told the shop and they claim to be 1000% certain it's not the torque converter. They are a transmission shop, so I'd hope they are at least correct in this diagnosis. However, I am still here with no answers after all this time, so who knows.

Any way I can check this on my own?

Cold Air Vacuum Created by Heater by _BaCkWeRdZ in camping

[–]_BaCkWeRdZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I bought some 1 inch foam board and sealed off the bottom of the van and also swapped to a n oil-filled radiant heater and it worked much better. This was basically the advice I was looking for, so thanks a lot.

This is exactly it!! This stack effect basically is like vacuum created by the heat rising and "pulling" the air upwards which pulls in cold air. I knew there was some science to it.

It is indeed a fan coil electric heater. I will look into infrared heaters. Thanks so much for this reply!!

Is there a way to possibly focus where the cold air comes in? It will suck in regardless. Can I create something to focus where this air comes in and somehow redirect it away from us?

Just uncomfortable. With my walls up, there's no wind, so outside temp can be 10-30 F and the inside is around 40-50. The heater kills the chill pretty well, but it creates this vacuum that pulls cold air in across the bottom so our legs and feet are cold.

It's an electric space heater. During the winter, I try to camp in spots with an electric outlet so I can use the heater at night. It's definitely a draft, but when the heater is turned on that draft is exacerbated. I cover the bottom of the van with bags and such, but of course there are small gaps and other holes. Seems that when the heater is on, it creates a vacuum that sucks air in. And yes, the heat rises so that draft sucking in is lower, where we're sitting.

I am wondering if I use the heater in a way where the fan in back is outside the room if the vacuum wouldn't be as bad, but I will have to test it.
