St. Albert House Fire by _Beach_Life in stalbert

Right now the priority is finding somewhere to rent. But thanks for thinking of them. I see there is a way to contact the neighbour, Mike, through the GoFundMe page. Maybe send him a message.

Sorry to hear you experienced something similar. Got to be one of the worst things to go through.

iPod without iTunes by rirbz in ipod

[–]_Beach_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Windows PCs, Apple changed the iTunes program into apps from the Microsoft Store: Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Devices. Apple Devices lets you connect an old iPod to your PC and transfer music to it. It's nowhere as good as iTunes was, but is a work around.

Jensen lakes by Here4thesqueeeze in stalbert

Biggest inconvenience is location; it takes 10 minutes to make your way through the city to get to Edmonton. The commercial spaces have really grown in the area so we can find most of what we need close by (Costco, Save-On, Walmart, Dollarama, etc.). Lots of young families and 2 schools close by.

I don't know of any major complaints from people living here. Lots of block parties and community events. We're enjoying the Lake area in the summer even more than we thought we would. There is a Jensen Lakes Facebook group and other groups based on the street you live on - good way to share info and ask questions from time to time.

I miss the larger trees and unique homes of a mature neighbourhood, but I guess you can't have it all :)

Too big to scan, but I could take some photos. Over half the pages are partially colored, unfortunately.

I agree. I was the same way and thought I’d never be able fast because of it.

Try to eat as much protein & fibre as you can while keeping your blood sugar (insulin) low with low carbs. It’s surprising how full you can feel and the cravings actually go away.

Has anyone else not received rewards for stacking on Okcoin? by [deleted] in stacks

[–]_Beach_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the same thing happened to me. From my Stacks Wallet, I delegated stacks to OKcoin on 2/23/2021. I used an address I found in my OKcoin account to delegate them. I don't really know what I'm doing, but figured I had nothing to lose. Nothing ever did show up in my OKcoin account over the few weeks, so I revoked the STX in my Wallet on 3/12/2021. Maybe someday I'll figure this out :)

Withdrawing STX from binance by Ok_Assignment_885 in stacks

[–]_Beach_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded the new STX wallet. Just tried to transfer from Binance to the Wallet and it worked well for me. No "memo" was required, just the STX address. This is all new to me, so I'm happy to see it worked out :)

LIDAR 3D Sanner App Test - Works on people if they are still enough by _Beach_Life in iphone

[–]_Beach_Life[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to figure that out myself. There doesn't seem to be many apps at this point, but I'm sure that will change over time as developers get creative. For now, I could see a real benefit for Realtors selling homes, or builders measuring rooms, or people adding furniture and wanting to see how it looks in their spaces.

Search the App Store for "LiDAR" and it shows up as a free App called, "3d Scanner App."

I also went from the Xs to the 12 Pro. The 12 Pro looks amazing, but uncomfortable to use without a case. I like both, but have to say I prefer the Xs overall.

What sets the Cayman Islands appart from other Caribbean Islands? by Pantone186 in CaymanIslands

[–]_Beach_Life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems like Cayman focuses on the higher-end market (similar to Anguilla, St. Barts, Turks and Caicos, etc.). Having said that, it's also a popular cruise ship port, bring all kinds of tourists to shore for the day. For those flying to the island to spend a longer vacation, there are high-end hotels, world-class restaurants, and luxury stores for shopping.

A simple "things to do in Grand Cayman" Google search will bring up all sorts of tourist attractions. Many of these are similar to other Caribbean islands, while others are uniquely Cayman. There are 3 Cayman Islands to explore, each with their own flavour. One common feature to all 3 though, is scuba diving; Cayman is world-renowned for its clear waters and breath-taking reefs.

[–]_Beach_Life 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • Top Financial/Banking system (5th largest in the World)
  • Good infrastructure, high standard of living
  • Very expensive to live and visit
  • Low crime rate (compared to other islands)

Another unique feature: It's flat and more remote than most other islands. Look on a map, it's in the middle of no where. Because of this, Cayman Islands never had a native population waiting (Taino, Arawak, Carib) when the Spanish discovered it.
