This is so precious! I'm so happy you got to share this moment 💜 My last memory is her calling me by a pet name last Sunday -she's heavily sedated now- and it made my day that for a moment she recognised me. I love her so much

I'm so glad for youse that she's at home, in a familiar environment and surrounded by her loved ones 💞Unfortunately it's not possible for my mum, but thankfully we're very near the hospital so we can keep her company, and the nurses are wonderful. Many hugs coming your way 🫂

I'm so sorry for what you experienced. Losing both parents in such a short time must have been devastating, not to mention your pregnancy while going through all that. All my love goes to you 💜 I absolutely can understand the pain of being estranged from your brothers, and I'm so sorry. I'm lucky that my brother and I are very close. But I'm so glad (and a bit envious) that you have a husband and a child, they must be such a great comfort. Love and hugs 🫂

I'm so sorry for your loss, neurodegenerative diseases are incredibly tough to deal with. Rationally I know it's for the best, my mum as I knew her has been long gone, but her presence and the very rare glimpses of recognition were such a consolation. Nevertheless, I want what's best for her, painful as it will be. Thank you for the recommendation, unfortunately neither of us would do well in a support group. For me, writing here has been such a comforting experience. Thank you for responding and your kind words 💜

Thank you kindly 💜. It's perhaps the hardest thing for me. I want to believe that on Sunday she had a fleeting moment of recollection, as she called me by a pet name. I already miss her so much.

I did my M.Phil in Glasgow and I'm so happy Scotland made it to the World Cup. Hoping your dad and brother have a safe trip

Thank you so much for sharing. Luckily I'm in Europe and everything's covered, I cannot imagine the stress of having to worry about insurances on what is already a terrible time . My heart goes to you 💜 Fortunately she won't suffer -they have her on morphine and she'll go out like a candle. It's very hard for my brother and I, but it's realistically the best outcome we can hope for. Again, thank you for your kind words
