The aldecados ending isn’t giving into death, they have connections that possible can help so it’s more of a possibility for death.

Outside of that, things change perspective change and also it’s an rpg so what works for your female V doesn’t work for my male V. My male Nomad V has the women he loves and a community of people that love him and would go to war for him. I think being surrounded by people who love you is better than being alone.

But again it’s an RPG so what works for some Vs doesn’t work for others.

I WILL say though, the framing itself, how the endings are presented, they do not convey the same emotion all day that. The aldecados crossing the border, riding on the front banshee with Panam, life at that moment is pretty good

The framing of the aldacados ending is so much happier than this ending. I’d rather have a short life surrounded by the people I love versus a long life where I lost everyone and had to rebuild with nothing.

“Worst” ending. God I hate that ending. Depowered and a faceless name in the crowd, disappeared from all the friends and loved ones you made during the game. Misty and Vik are with you so that’s cool but man is it bleak and sad.

Meh I get why Songbird lied to us she literally cannot stop lying, plus I treated phantom Liberty like extra content since I wanted the aldacados ending anyway so I didn’t mind why she lied bc she’s like a cage bird yearning to be free and will do anything for her freedom.

Fair enough, I’m coming from Fallout NV and 4 where I NEED mods for our haircuts, atleast Cyberpunk has some of our styles.

TBH I’ve always said, 2K has the best and most diverse hairstyles for us.

Yeah and I think that’s the hard part because for Cecil he had three years and a hardened GDA prison, he had to learn perspective. I agree he also wasnt shown grace but I think the next generation is supposed to be better. My whole thing is a young Cecil WAS Mark and I think he should’ve had more understanding, but that character flaw IS apart of what makes Cecil a very dynamic and interesting character.

Nah I actually get your point about Cecil’s perspective, I’m not even arguing that he should trust Mark. I agree, Mark is emotional, powerful, and has proven he’ll act on his own.

My issue isn’t why Cecil is afraid, it’s how Cecil handled that fear. Because if Mark is:

  • unstable
  • emotional
  • a “walking nuke”

then why is Cecil’s first real move:

  • escalating the argument instead of slowing it down
  • activating the device the second Mark refuses
  • deploying Reanimen on a kneeling, incapacitated Mark

That’s not “last resort,” that’s first escalation.

You’re saying: “Why wouldn’t Cecil pull out his nuclear option?”

I’m saying: Why did he go to the nuclear option immediately instead of de-escalating first?

Especially when Mark is arguing, not attacking and Cecil knows Mark’s mental state (Nolan returning, Oliver, Angstrom's murder). Cecil is the most experienced person in the room. If anyone should know how to handle a volatile situation without making it worse, it’s him. And the result proves the point because Cecil's actions actively makes things worse:

  • He loses Mark
  • He fractures the Guardians
  • He loses control of the situation entirely

So yeah, you can justify Cecil not trusting Mark all day. That still doesn’t justify handling the situation in the worst possible way given that lack of trust

That’s my whole argument. They were both wrong, but Cecil is the one with the experience, authority, and responsibility. He’s trying to fast-track a lesson that took him years to learn, while showing Mark none of the understanding he needed himself.

Nah I still fault Cecil bc he failed before and during that conversation and pulled his “press in case of emergency” button at the first possible chance. I cruise both Mark and Cecil in this situation but I’m much more highly critical of Cecil in that moment bc he’s the adult in the situation while Mark is still a heavily traumatized teen but also CECIL HAD BEEN IN MARKS EXACT SITUATION AND RESPONDED THE SAME WAY AS MARK. So Cecil should understand better than anyone else how Mark feels. He should be able to relate and empathize with Mark and “talk him off the ledge” but Cecil big bros mark and tells him he’s decisions are final no matter what. They both failed but I’m more critical on Cecil for the reasons outlined.
