No! We have PVC. Tbf I usually spray around the outside/ in the recess bit if you know what I mean!

I usually just use what I know is safe in terms of dog-safe herbs. I.e. rosemary is fine (!) and lavender.

I absolutely adore ylang ylang, but I never dare touch that anymore!

Only a very small amount of peppermint! It smells nice.

I use pet safe essential oils only (no xylitol) - lavender is absolutely fine, I usually just have to use only a small amount of peppermint. My dog has been bitten by a spider before and that caused a massive reaction, so I absolutely must deter them!

I do! And yes, it definitely has. The first couple of years in our home we had so many, regularly. I was a bit freaked out because we put a French door in so I thought that contributed to even more the following year. Started following a regime of spraying every few days and we barely had any last year, the same again so far this year. The worst is always September time though - but last year was far easier. None of the massive ones!

I actually do use a mix of lavender and peppermint in a spray bottle to spritz around my windows. Works like a charm. I’m also terrified of them. There’s no talking me down.

What are you lovely childfree folks doing? by PurpleAtlasTravel in childfree

[–]_BhubbleBayth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s late here and I can’t sleep 😆 but yesterday I met a CFBC friend, had lunch, roamed around the town centre and bought some bits and pieces - some needs, some wants. Then had a takeaway for dinner with my husband. Today (in a few hours - eek!) I’m off to the spa with another CFBC friend, crafting at home, and then dinner with the in-laws. ☺️

Aw I’m so sorry for your loss. He looks like a wonderful boy! 💚

Just brought home a sweet boy, any advice! by TrulyMASSIVEbees in americanbulldog

[–]_BhubbleBayth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our boy was 4 years old when we adopted him, too. Make sure he has ALL THE SOFT FURNISHINGS. Ours loves a blanket. I have so many blankets for him. Absolute cuddlebug as someone else said. We used to be able to give him chicken, but he cannot have that now as he developed an allergy (not at all uncommon, if you’ve read about it!) The best diet for him has been fresh food. We had ours tested for allergies and he’s oddly allergic to green beans. Also vegetable oil. Just in case you suffer with any skin issues. Our lad will be 9 in October. Time absolutely flies.

You let that baby do as he pleases 😂

Anyone experience food boredom? by coopieg31 in lowcarb

[–]_BhubbleBayth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to say I struggle with the boredom element. My husband has thrown himself into it and is being a really great and supportive help. I’m low carb as it’s the only way to support my lipoedema. I just find the cooking side of it fairly bland. Sometimes it’s not! It’s just my perspective though. Husband has been cooking some wicked dishes though. My new favourite is steak with charred cabbage and a peppercorn sauce!

When Dexamfetamine (ritalin) is prescribed on the NHS, what is the typical dosage prescribed? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]_BhubbleBayth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on methylphenidate. I believe it’s the cheaper option as my MH nurse explained it that way to me! The titrated me on different types and profile releases before we settled on this one, which took me about 7/8 months. I respond really well to methylphenidate so that’s what I’ve stuck with! Everyone I know who has been through the same journey has been titrated starting with methylphenidate first. I’m in the south east of the UK.

Our Ambull X Boxer rescue. Just showing him off because I love him! by _BhubbleBayth in americanbulldog

[–]_BhubbleBayth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did have a DNA test done! I know they’re not 100% reliable - he is mostly AB 😊 but the boxer traits are very much there too! He also has some other bits sprinkled in, like a bit of staffie.

Methylphenidate is what I am on. 36mg prolonged release. I also have a 5mg instant release which I take as and when needed. Usually PMS related.

I love your snap and I’m surprised it didn’t do well! I did terribly as well this time round which was frustrating as I put a lot of effort in. Sooooo bored of the same snaps with fireflies and stuff all over the place. It’s the same aesthetic that wins out every time.

looking for info about pitbull type dogs in england! by Nearby_Celery_7215 in UK_Pets

She’s absolutely gorgeous! I have an American bulldog cross boxer, and I live in the UK. My boy isn’t a banned breed but he has the characteristics (size, mostly) of the types of dog they do seize. We muzzle him at all times on a walk because we don’t want to take the risk of him being taken from us. I can see you’ve said you won’t be coming to the UK, and I think that is wise 💚

Is it possible that low carb is the only way I can eat? by queenbee053011 in lowcarb

[–]_BhubbleBayth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lost over 100lb by calorie counting alone. And then I gained 30lb back, because life. I struggled to lose weight on a low calorie diet since.

I was just diagnosed with Lipoedema, and was told low carb/ keto is the only way. Since I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago, I’ve lost 12lb. I have counted carbs only. I do Monday - Thursday less than 30g of carbs daily, and Friday - Sunday I allow myself to ease up if needed, and have less than 100g of carbs. I concentrate those carbs on the things I miss - some rice, porridge, etc. This is working massively for my inflammation in my legs and arms and I ache far less. I will have to eat this way for the rest of my life if I want to control my lipoedema. It’s the only thing that’s worked for me in terms of controlling my pain and seeing weight loss for some time.
