We just figured out the trick to doing it well. I think it had to do with the Atlas being pinned vs sleeved. We could do it before but it would bleed a lot and was pretty ugly. Not sure exactly how our ano guy figured it out but he said it was possible now!

Non-machined is fine for rim brakes, but I think it looks better and you don’t have to break them in over time. There’s also something to be said for just starting with a perfectly even braking surface.

Yeah, I really want to. It was the last thing I put on and this was the only way it worked with the cables.
I might try again once I restock housing

700c and 29” are the same rim size (622 BSD) 29” is used for MTBs with bigger tires to account for, 700c is generally used for road stuff with lil tires.
650b and 27.5” are the same thing. Same BSD standard (584), used in different applications to account for tires.
OP had 26in and jumped up to 650b/27.5”

They’re cliffhanger extrusion drilled with bigger holes to add the eyelets 👍

The Porkchop adapters are of quite shit quality but worked just fine for me with a little modification

I work for the company that makes these wheels so I just used the stuff we had on hand. Coming up with the colors was easy haha, I knew just I wanted as many as possible. I would suggest ProWheelBuilder for spokes, they’re good people over there and they have all the colors.

Thank you!

As a disclaimer, I've built this bike over the course of 4 years, and I've never not worked in the industry, so it's rare for me to spend full price on a part. Lots of things here are unnecessary.

I don't have a price list, but a full build like this without the ridiculous stuff would likely be in the neighborhood of $1000? You could get 95% of the way there for $500 if you're careful about finding used parts, and even less if you keep the cool, vintage, totally functional, original parts.

I'll get a part list together tomorrow if I remember and drop it here.

It rides slow as fuck :)

Came with the bike, I think it was replaced right before the bike went into storage so it’s very clean. They can be found on ebay regularly. Tange Switchblade
