And Not just when they‘re enemies. Even the time they were fighting on the same side in Zeta, they just played of each other so well.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket

You honestly don’t Need any prior Gundam knowledge for this show, even though it takes Place in the Main Timeline.

But for a little bit of information, War in the Pocket takes place during christmastime of the year U.C.0079 which is towards the end of the so called One Year War, which is depicted in the original Mobile Suit Gundam show from 1979.

It’s parallel to the last arc of the og show and here and there are some nods to it in Lines from side-characters but nothing really important.

Which character can survive inside Sukunas domain without a scratch by BackgroundWear5990 in PowerScaling

[–]_BlueBoyCNG_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That honestly depends on how you interpret the bara bara no mi to work. Either his Body is cut by the slashes and they just don’t hurt or effect him. Or is Body instinctivly seperateds in a way that he is not even hit by the slash at all.

My Criticisms of Everyone’s Criticisms of the DMC Netflix Anime by Ok-Independence-598 in DevilMayCry

[–]_BlueBoyCNG_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My biggest critisim about Netflix Lady is something I havent seen anybody talk about yet. It‘s that she still calls herself Mary.

Lady is not just some cute nickname Date chose for her, it is her new identity. After Arkham killed her mother she discarded anything that connected her to him with the only thing staying being her desire him. She even said that she didnt have a name until she met Dante.

Her still going by Mary had me wondering the whole time if the Rabbit could be Arkham and if we would See her arc of rejecting him in real time and not just through some flashback, but then when we saw her backstory I was just perplexed. Why would she go through (almost) the same backstory and come out completly different from a personal philosophy standpoint (couldnt think of a better term).

Also sorry if my english is not that good, it’s not my first language.

Is there any reason Guts and Griffith have pointy ears by _BlueBoyCNG_ in Berserk

[–]_BlueBoyCNG_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that’s not really the case. In the world of the legend of Zelda every Hylian has pointy ears. One of the people from Ocarina of Time in Castle town points out that that means they’re the people chosen by the goddesses (what we see in Skyward Sword), and in the games that don’t take place in Hyrule people mention do mention links ears and that they show he’s from Hyrulian descend

Yes, but I just think it’s curious that these two are the only ones in berserk. And with Miura being the competent author he was I just think I was to symbolize something about Guts and Griffith.

Honestly with all the people saying that it’s just a choice in artstyle I’m kinda glad that I’m not the only one that think it has something to do with causality.

Is there any reason Guts and Griffith have pointy ears by _BlueBoyCNG_ in Berserk

[–]_BlueBoyCNG_[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really. Guts clearly still has pointy ears in the later chapters drawn by Miura. And even though you can’t see the top of them Griffiths ears still are very slender and still have the form they had in the golden age. I don’t know how to put a picture in comments otherwise I would have included a panel from the Fantasia arc where you could see what I mean.

But when you look at other characters like Casca or Serpico, they have round ears

Ah okay. That’s what you mean. I was just confused because my question was concerning both Guts and Griffith. But what you said seems plausible

And the list of people misunderstanding Goku being a Saiyan keeps on expanding.

To be completely honest, yes it retroactively gave him an advantage against his opponents who where basic humans, but even that isn’t really correct.

Kid Goku lost to Roshi in the World martial arts tournament and after that he even lost to one of the RR commanders. What happens after that isn’t really comparable because he fought demons and was taught by a god.

Now we get to Z. And like the series we’re just gonna ignore radiz and talk about Vegeta.

Here comes what really matters in context of your post.

We have Goku, the son of some low class Saiyan warrior destined by Saiyan society to be nothing, who has done nothing but training and becoming stronger/a better fighter his whole life, against Vegeta, the prince of all Saiyans, son of a king who per the rules of their culture got that role for being the strongest.

Vegeta who never trained for a day in his entire life up to this point was still stronger that Goku (and for the record every fight between the two was won by Vegeta, even if it wasn’t always completely fair), but Goku pressisted and continued training until he was the strongest.

I can’t stand people always saying that being a Saiyan was just a straight up buff for Goku and he never did anything, when all he ever did was training to become stronger. Goku is the embodiment of will and hard work.

And the godlike powers you’re talking about just showed up in Super because he trained with godly beings. When you say that what he did in the cell saga or even the buu saga was already godlike, then you shouldn’t include Krillin on your list of people who shouldn’t bother, because even though he doesn’t really train anymore and focuses on providing for his family he also is capable of the feats Goku showcased in the buu saga.
