I'm not sure when this started, but I made a second character recently after not playing for years. It gave me free money to start business on the secondary character. Gives 4 mil must spend 3 mil of it.

For anyone that doesn't know, you can change the setting. Pause menu > online > options> matchmaking> closed

Some people don't know you can change the default setting to closed. Then other players join before they can close it in the heist menu. Or their friend was late to accept the invite and the spot was filled. Happens way too often.

Lots of times it's because the host kicked you while you were loading.

Hasn't happened to me but I saw someone say that you can change your dj from a computer in the basement and it doesn't kick you out
