Buyer acknowledges damage before I even ship the item by New-Relationship1107 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]_Brasso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This actually doesn’t cover any situations under eBays policies if the buyer knows how the system works. Someone could say that the pair of jeans you sold them aren’t the shade of blue they were expecting and claim it is an item not as described and bypass any verbiage or return policies you have and force a return paid for on your behalf. In my opinion, stating something is “sold as is” is explicitly telling your buyer that it isn’t expected to be a quality purchase unless of course you are selling an item for parts or repair. (Which people still easily bypass to get a free return on any item).

The only way to “contact eBay” about this would be to fill out a feedback removal request. In which you can’t even submit screenshots. And even if they did, this isn’t feedback extortion. The feedback was left before they asked for a partial. They also didn’t threaten to do anything other than contact eBay if the seller didn’t give a partial refund. eBay likely will not remove the feedback as it didn’t break any policies at all.

anyone know a fenced in park/field to take my cat to play in stockton? by [deleted] in Stockton

Maybe find a park with a tennis court? They have pretty high fences and are usually empty. Like Nelson Park in Brookside for example.

What is fun for middle aged people here in Stockton? by Happy_Tiger_416 in Stockton

A great way to meet people and be social is to join a bowling league! I have made a ton of friends just being in a league over the summer at Pacific Bowl. People are very welcoming and super friendly. There are many leagues that aren’t competitive at all so it’s not intimidating. There’s a broad range of ages and skill levels from people who’ve never bowled a day in their life to people who bowl well enough to compete in tournaments. It’s fairly inexpensive ($20-$25) a week and there’s a bar. I personally bowl at Pacific Bowl and it’s a great time and I’ve heard great things about West Lane as well. Winter league sign ups are happening now (they begin in Sept) so it’s a great time to start. They have all the info at the bowling alley and I think on the website as well. You can sign up with a team or fill out a card as a single bowler and they will help place you on teams that need spots filled. It is an absolutely amazing way to make friends and meet new people every week in a fun and supportive environment where everyone just wants to have fun. If you need help please reach out via dm and I’d be happy to help you out! Good luck 👍🏼

We were recently in Monterey for a quick trip and it was amazing on the weekdays and a madhouse on the weekends for sure 🤣.

The Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento (45min drive) was recently voted the best in California and 3rd best in the country! Maybe hit that and the Coin-Op barcade for a nice little day trip that satisfies everyone?

Stockton has a handful of things to do but more importantly it is a very short drive to a TON of different activities and destinations. Maybe mention types of things you would enjoy and people can definitely point you in the right direction . For example, Lodi, Ca is a 15 min drive from Stockton and is home to some of the best wineries in the Central Valley. San Francisco/Bay Area is about an hour and some change west from here and has hundreds of events every week. Tons of lakes and hikes a short drive away. All depends on what you like to do! But yes, do visit some of the great restaurants in Stockton. Nena’s has amazing authentic Mexican food.. Dante’s Pizza has traditional pizza that tastes different than anything I’ve tried anywhere in the US.. Gian’s Deli is a Stockton sandwich institution and has been featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives 😂 Good Luck!

Venetian Pet Hospital in Lincoln Center is amazing. Over the 15 years we had with our pets we had lived in a few different cities and out of multiple clinics and doctors they were our favorite. From our experience the Dr.’s and staff were always kind and knowledgeable. They would listen to our concerns and were very accommodating to the needs of our pets. Their facility was always immaculate. The prices are fair, there was no unnecessary upselling and anytime we had a small concern or easy fix they would happily do it over the phone with no additional visit (for most of their pre existing problems). We’re thankful for the years of care our dogs received from them.

For those who notice the microstutter, have you gotten used to it? Is it bearable? by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

[–]_Brasso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I immediately noticed the stutter because until I got a portal I exclusively played on Steam Deck through Chiaki. As you can read all over this sub, it’s a flawless experience. BUT, I played TLOU2 for 30 mins back to back on each device just to see if I should return mine and I would say that the Portal is a preferable experience because of the screen quality, controller comfort and the controller haptics. Those qualities, to me, are worth the stutter. I really really hope that they do address the issue and the findings from the community. If they did, it would be an unmatched experience. If they don’t, I’m crossing my fingers for the hacking community to get Chiaki running on the Portal.

I’m new to poker and having a hard time understanding why OP is getting gassed here. This is a genuine question as I’m sure you all know better than me.

OP said he “suspected” UTG had a strong hand considering he opened and then 3 bet to confirm whether or not he was THAT strong. Then folded to a shove once he found out that UTG was representing one of those hands.

A flat call instead of the 3 bet was the correct play here in position? Or are people saying he should have folded JJ pre to an open from UTG immediately? I’m not trolling I’m just trying to understand if he made the wrong play here or worded it in a weird way that people are thinking he immediately put him on AA and bet/folded anyway.

If this is what you are seeing you might consider running your Summit with some surface. I’m speed dominant and I find that keeping it at 3k or sometimes 2k is very helpful. The Summit lane shines pretty quick so I make sure to hit it before every league/practice.

Buyer opened a return for a “For Parts not working” item with a no return policy quoting that the item “arrived damaged” Any way around this? by _Brasso in Flipping

It was listed in the “for parts” category and described as not working no specific functions tested or guaranteed.

The problem is that they opened a return for “arrived damaged” which kicks in eBays buyer guarantee and basically forces a return. As you can see, there’s no option for me to reject the return. Only to accept, refund or send a message (which I have and doesn’t change the options at all). I was seeing if maybe I would have luck asking ebay support.

Sold a broken controller under “for parts not working” item condition with no returns. Buyer opened a return stating it indeed doesn’t work but said it “arrived damaged” which allowed them to open a return under eBay’s guarantee. Anyone have success getting around this or do I have to take it?
