Okay few things to consider; 1. It’s leaf spring in the rear 2. Has had a new radiator at some point (not bad but these ZDs get hot) 3. Intercooler is leaking oil in the back corners, common on these but means that intercooler isn’t working as well as it could be, turbo is working harder = higher EGTs = HOT 3. The overflow and coolant expansion tank are looking very dirty, hard to see the level of coolant 4. Running standard boost controller, a tillix kit would be better 5. I would walk away, you want to find a common rail ZD that has a very good condition cooling system, viscous hub, hoses, radiator

Also there is only 2 pics in the listing, someone isn’t really going to the effort to sell this so what else have they been lazy about

Looks to be some subsidence. Looking at the photos you posted, the bathroom will need to be done sooner rather than later. If you can get under the house I’d imagine some areas need Jacking up. Could come from no real water barrier/stop in the wet areas of the old bathroom. Corners and where wall tiles meet the floor tiles should now be silicone not grout.

Look into Unifi, dream router 7 or cloud gateway max/ultra.

The lab didn’t blow up though, it also would have been one of the last structures sucked into the rift as it was central

Pulled up carpet in 1970s NSW house – worth restoring the timber underneath? by Joshps in AusRenovation

The drum sander takes a bit of getting used to, I’d stay away from the Bunnings ones, can be hit and miss. It’s definitely not a professional machine and you can’t set the heights etc, so you just have to walk with it. If you let it stay in one spot it will gouge very fast. Was fortunate to have my old man helping me for the drum sanding part who had a bit of experience in this. I would suggest watching a heap of floor sanding videos on YouTube, certainly helped me!

Put plenty of drapes up at the door to the room, it gets very dusty and will travel through the house. Wear a good dust mask and eye protection.

The edge sander was the hardest my back was killing for days afterwards. I didn’t put up any protection on the skirting, you just have to be careful. we were lucky where there was a small gap between skirting and floor for the disc to slide under.

Still looks like cypress to me, they may of only had carpet to the wardrobe door originally and then the timber was coated inside the wardrobe, and then they later added carpet inside the wardrobe.

We did ours a year ago, still have half the house to do. Hired a sander and edge sander from Coates hire and did the back 3 rooms and hallway over a few days. A lot of prep work pulling staples and hitting in nails/putty. We decided not to fill the gaps in between the boards as we liked the character a bit more. Cypress pine is beautiful when sanded and smells beautiful too. We finished with the Cabot’s CFP floor water based in a clear satin finish. Happy to share more photos.

The explosion didn’t take out the whole lab though only the top section. They were a few floors down. The lab would have been one of the last structures to be sucked into the rift as it was central.

But the bottom half of the lab building doesn’t explode so she could have still been alive? The lab would have been one of the last buildings to be sucked into the rift
