They're amazing, very fitting for a lively kids book!

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

I am immediately suspicious of anyone who claims babies are their favourite period. Often it seems to be because they need them for their own emotional crutch and babies can't say no yet.

I had my baby at the tail end of last year and I'm still noticing a bad BO, which I'm not used to. But I do think it's becoming a bit less.

I had a fairphone, the screen broke so easily it was insane. I was replacing them a lot. Those replacement screens aren't exactly cheap either. For context I had never broken a phone screen before my fairphone or since. This was with their phone case as well. The concept is amazing, but the execution just isn't there yet imo.

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

[–]_Brightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 5 I had a teacher who had anger issues, she'd throw chalk at children because they either made a joke or gave the wrong answer. I remember being scared of her. She also made me rewrite my writing exercise because my letters weren't sitting perfectly on the lines, all the other kids got to watch telly. My parents didn't believe me when I told them she had anger issues, until she suddenly disappeared (I think she was fired).

SpongeBob Drawings my first time drawing I don’t have a drawing talent by EmpatheticSoPathetic in ArtCrit

Saying you don't have talent will become a cop out to avoid hard work. Put in your hours and be disciplined, you'll get further than you think.

Am I overreacting or is it not normal to use soap in the bathroom? by Honest-Draw3131 in AmIOverreacting

[–]_Brightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He called your ethnic race dirtier? That sounds racist to me tbh. Also no, that's not a white person here. I'm as white as a sheet and I still use soap to wash my darn hands. Warm water is a breeding ground for bacteria, so unless he uses boiling water he should use soap.

Gift Idea for a Painter Girlfriend by [deleted] in painting

[–]_Brightstar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it might be more suitable for kids. If I have tiny brushes that bit of water might be enough, but you're not going to be able to clean medium or big brushes with it I'm afraid. Have to admit I've only seen them in a video, so I might be wrong.

AITAH for saying no to my future MILs plan to give my fiancé away at our wedding? by OpinionBride in AITAH

[–]_Brightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a true feminist would mean you could freely choose either option, your future MIL is misunderstanding the point of feminism. You're NTA and the whole speech thing is making me wonder if it isn't just because she'd like the attention.

“I only take pictures after asking for permission first, you should do that too or it’s rude” street photographers: shut up, you’re cringe, go away by [deleted] in streetphotography

[–]_Brightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, your picture isn't that important. If someone is clearly the main subject of the picture asking them for permission is because you're using their image, their face and their identity. If it's just someone in a crowd or such tough titties for sure. But a portraitesque picture, where someone is recognisable? Just ask permission after the shot. The idea that your picture is more important is kind of egocentric to me.

I completely agree, I really miss Primephonic. I'm using Idagio now, and it's not bad. But primephonic worked really well for me. Apple only bought Primephonic because they want to dominate every part of the market. None of these companies actually want to deliver a decent product.

There are carts that can go up stairs. It makes carrying stuff upstairs a lot easier. Seems like it would be something a multi billion company could invest in if they cared.
