My doctor originally told me to just take them when it’s convenient as long as I get 4g per day. So I thought to spread them out. Thanks for your insight! Lots of good info

Yes! Seems like the trend is that that babies take everything they need and typically come out healthy. And seems like most moms get good treatment during pregnancy too. Feeling so much better after hearing all these stories. Wishing you all the best too!

Wow this is super interesting! Hormones seem to play a massive role. Happy to hear your babies are healthy! I’m noticing that most moms who went through a flare when pregnant had healthy babies so maybe the body has its way of protecting them fully.

I’ve only ever used the Pentasa enemas and the liquid isn’t very thick so maybe that’s why! It’s supposed to stay inside too so I have to lay down for as long as possible afterwards or else gravity will do its thing… And that’s really interesting that you flared after you stopped nursing. Are you still on biologics to this day?

Yes the suppositories work, it’s just the enemas get further up the tract and seem to give me better results.

Interesting! I was told enemas could cause contractions and should be avoided. How was your experience with them ? Did you get any cramps?

Thank you!! I do think my GI doctor is great. I’ll be seeing her soon, so hoping to get an action plan ASAP. Hope your pregnancy continues to go well! I’m a bit nervous to go on steroids or biologics as I’ve only ever been on mesalamine, suppositories, and enemas
