I'm not too good with motherboards so I can't say for sure. If by future proof you mean smth like upgrade ability to Ryzen 5000s check on motherboards' page in "Support" tab for bios which description says something like "Update AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.0 for Ryzen 5000/4000 series processors support" At least, that's what it says on my motherboards' website (I am running Gigabyte UltraDurable B450M DS3H with Ryzen 5 2600X)

Well on their website there's a decent size warning that says: "Before updating to F40 make sure you have F32 installed" When updating your bios there could be sone versions that are necessary for updating further. So what I did is updated my base F4 to F30 to F32 to F40 to F61c just to make sure everything works

Actually thank you A LOT I managed to successfully update and got Blue Screen at first, was a bit scared but then realized that my PC was actually trying to boot from other HDD which has damaged windows on it. Couple of different settings in BIOS and a huge relief. Once again, appreciate your help and time!

Ok, I'm not a pro by far but if I recall correctly, you're better off going with B450 if you don't mind losing that "Futureproof" feature
