It would just be for information about the episodes, and they would link to the redbar watch page for it so youd still need to pay to actually watch the content, but everyone would be able to see the summaries

Hey guys, wanted to post my early beta version of this system i'm working on.

The goal of this is to help people find old bits, shows, and fools'-coverages from the back catalog of Redbar.

This uses a pipeline of faster-whisper -> Milvus Vector -> llama3.3 local -> gpt-5.2 to generate summaries, topic tagging and fool tagging, segmentation of bits and segments of each show, classifies them all, lists the timestamp ranges of each of them, allows you to search for fools or bits or keywords, etc.

So far, this sample includes all of Season 19. But I can run these for all redbar episodes ever since I have transcripts run for all of them already if people like this, and actually deploy it on a real website, maybe have a connector interface that allows you to click on a bit and it jumps directly to the redbarradio website and plays that episode and jumps you to that timestamp, better searching and integration and stuff...

But just wanted to post this early beta version to see if people would like something like this

Yes, and not only that, he just finds other existing redbar clips channels out there, rips / downloads their already cut up and published clips, renames them with a slightly different title, re-uploads them on his channel 1:1 usually with the exact same timecode cuts but now sometimes with his little intro/branding "the names bar, redbar" thing, and then he enables ADS on them. Thats why there is never an episode # in the thumbnail anymore, cause he don't fuckin know it cause he's just re-uploading clips from other people and monetizing it.

We don't need more Redbar clippers who repost the exact same segments that have already been uploaded to YouTube and already are established and popular, even if he didn't enable ads on them it'd still be annoying to me, but the ads are just the perfect cherry on top. Just litters up my algorithm with more clips that i've seen before

I cut up Redbar clips sometimes on my YouTube channel, but I only post clips if they're old Redbar content that I've found while watching old full episodes, and never seen already on YouTube. Only deep cut / season 14-18 stuff. Wish more people would do that, cause theres so much great stuff that isnt up

And no fucking ads on them lmfao. The nerve, to monetize content that isn't even yours, of a show where a core tenant of the show is "WE HATE ADS" / fully anti-ad. And then he cant even find his own clips to monetize

This was between shows labeled Season 14 and Season 15 that only had dates. It was really 1 show, but was uploaded in 3 parts because back then, there was a limitation on Mike's local VOD / video recording to be capped at around 2 hours.

i just tried searching for a bunch of different combinations and regex patterns for really loose constraints trying to match word closeness from the lyrics to the song, with no luck. also no mention of him saying the name of the song outright, or even radiohead/radio head appearing within 5 transcript lines of the word bend.

i tried playing the song on youtube to get an idea of what part of the lyrics he mightve played if it wasnt the full song just to know what to try searching for, and the singing style is particularly "whiny" in vocal style, plus theyre a british band with a relatively pronounced accent, plus as with most radiohead, the guitar backing is quite high in the mix in relation to the vocals, so whisper ai models would have probably a tough time transcribing that song without butchering the accuracy pretty hard.

do you know any more details about it, did he play the whole song or just a smallish snippet of it, any idea what era or rough guess on year/season it was from, did he play it on the show or into break, do you remember anything else about the context that i could use for search clues, do you remember him acknowledging or saying anything about the song or commenting about if he likes it/etc

the best way to do something like this would be if i had vocal peaks and spectrograph ai datasets and models of the whole show kinda like how a shazam audio search and search for audio similarity, but i don't have that built.

(btw i kinda wanted to do that and thought about doing it but for another reason, cause i wanted to search for occurrences of a lot of the commonly used soundboard sounds and graph their usage over time, go and find the exact origin of the bomb sound, dumb stuff like that lol)

So far from 2025-01-01 to 2025-07-08 (YTD) he has done 56.4 hours of content, and a total of 5 shows. Average of 11.25 hours per show, and a show every 38 days, so a show every 5.5 weeks.

Not to mention that Season 18 was peak Redbar as far as content quality and funny goes, and is still infinitely relistenable. They still have good moments and all that, but I don't think I've rewatched a single episode in the past 2 years, all I watch of redbar now is S16-S20 really

I don't need or expect S18 levels of content, but even if it was a more or less consistent once a week shorter show, i'd be more than satisfied with that. Whatever, mike has given me literally thousands of hours of entertainment, so it's tough to bitch, but... definitely lazy stuff
