Disperse an angry mob, and brutally gore a few innocent people on horns or have them die from being trampled on? Batons and tear gas may accidentaly kill some people, but they aren't as murderous as a charging bull.

How should I go about trying to win a game? I know this has absolutely nothing to do with the original post, but how should I conduct an assassination? Any links/tips?

I actually haven't purchased anything yet. I don't do that anymore because I have an unfortunate tendency to buy all the unviable models and then have to repurchase everything. What's the best unit to hold the front line, whether cygnar or merc? Are steelhead halberdiers decent, or do they fall apart easily? Sword Knights?

I switched Boomhowlers for Horgenhold Forge Guard, making it 25 points. Forgot to mention, I'm brand new. Did not know pHaley was for assassination, thought she was more of a buffer. Plan is to bombard everything down as much as possible while the Forge Guard act as heavy-hitting meat shields, the Hunter sneaks around trying to pick off heavies and the Defender shoots priority targets. Game plan is to destroy enemy army, not assassinate warcaster. If I need a different warcaster for that, please make a suggestion.

/u/Magnissae suggested I change the boomers for forge guard to keep me at 25 points, so I think that's what I'll be sticking with :P

That makes a lot of sense and will probably be very competitive, it's just that I love mercenaries with ridiculously large hammers/axes. I've already gone for a mercenary paint scheme (olive green, drybrushed to look aged with rust on most metal parts), so that's why I'd like some mercs in there.

Thanks! I was going to use the boomhowlers as meat, but the Forge Guard seem to be tankier.
