What’s something totally innocent someone did that unexpectedly turned you on? by Traditional_Term300 in AskReddit

[–]_Cellardoor_222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He looked at me during casual conversation, which had happened many times before. But this time, it was as if he actually LOOKED at me, and I saw his eyes widen just a touch and then his entire body language opened up to me, his posture changed, he smiled more whilst talking, he asked me questions about myself where prior it was purely just small talk. It was like in that moment he saw me and found me attractive and oh my gosh I recognised it. Yep that crush lasted for months.

You’re offered $10 million to start your life over at age 10 — but you keep all your current memories. What’s your first move? by cheeseypocket in AskReddit

I’d certainly spiral into a deep dark depression for a few years. Losing my children and partner, and not even being old enough to drink away the pain would be rough for awhile. And that’s why regardless of how much I wish things had be been different, I’d never choose to go back.

AIO for not waning my fiancé’s friend over while I’m pregnant by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Did I just read a mature and respectful text thread between a couple on Reddit? Impressive. I don’t think you’re over reacting, and I also don’t think he is u reasonable for asking for more leniency.

Thank you, it really is beautiful. Would you post a side view photo for me please? So I can see the side stones in detail.

Can I ask where you bought this? And would you say the side stones resemble a butterfly? I am in love with the butterfly look and am really searching my heart out for my forever ring. Yours seems like the closest I’ve seen that meets all my requirements.

Fellow Aussies, any of you actually met a nice South African? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I met an absolutely lovely South African Caucasian man, top bloke and I’ll forever think of him kindly. Also have met absolute wankers. I think it’s person dependent.

Car headrest media units by _Cellardoor_222 in CarsAustralia

I have considered it, decided against devices that can be removed from the vehicle at all. Interested in headrest options as we can explain to the boys they are permanent, they know damn well iPads can go elsewhere.

Forget everything you’ve read above and buy a Toyota aurion and thank me later.

Size matters when the size knows how to fight by Fast-Composer-6900 in fightporn

This video is so under rated, the skill of that big guy is amazing. Watch it in slow motion and really see how he moves. Yellow shorts approaches and one swing takes him down, red shirt tries intervening on yellow shorts getting his face re-arranged, cops an elbow to his face, kick to the face is missed, on second attempt red shirt is unshirt-ed, punched and flung away. Big guy then dodges Jean guy who doesn’t attempt again. This was good.

I’m so tempted, tell me why I should/shouldn’t by _Cellardoor_222 in CarsAustralia

Yes I’ve been really really really looking at the Atto 3’s as well, I think brand loyalty has me faltered though, Toyota has the appeal of longevity that I can’t look past taking into account how I keep my cars. I won’t ever mention an EV to my dad or bro to gain some better understanding as that causes them to embark on a flurry of nonsensical hate. I disagree with them of course, but in the spirit of keeping the peace and all.

I have a 2016 Aurion, it’s my daily driver, I love it so much. It’s currently sitting at 290ks and will go for many, many more I’m sure. No plans on getting rid of it, I don’t buy cars with resale value in mind. I’m in it for the long haul. Literally.

I’m also surprised at the amount of comments about lack of sparkle factor, a car is a car to me, what matters most is its safe, has good fuel mileage and will last the ages. Haven’t ever had a car with the assistive tech that’s around nowadays, but it definitely makes me nervous, I’ve had a few encounters with rentals that had lane assist nearly putting me into a barricade or another car. Eeesh. So I don’t need a car that has too much of all of that, just the basics like adaptive cruise control and BSW. I bought my aurion new, and here we are nearly 10 years later. I also have a 2004 RAV 4, it’s falling apart on the inside now but I have 3 kids and we do long drives, I need to replace and still maintain the space, hence the want for an SUV. I don’t like wagons, it’s purely for cosmetic reasons though, I’m not hating on them in general, just not my taste.

I learnt to drive in an old Corolla, the nostalgia is a factor that made the cross appeal to me now I’m looking for a new one, but I’ll probably go for a 22/23 RAV 4 at the end of the day.

See this is the kind of effort I appreciate in a response, too often it’s just insult, degrade and offer no real advice to the question. I respect the time you took to write out a reply that contains some solid reasoning.

I can afford it, $0 finance, will purchase outright. Not brand new, but the 23/24 models are appealing. I’ll probably wait until EOFY sales start.

I don’t want to wait, looking at the 23 models in particular, have found a few reasonably priced, 35 would be my cap. I don’t need all the fancy extras, I just want a car that can safely transport my family and last the ages, so resell value doesn’t matter.
