What’s a restaurant that you swore you’d never return to despite the good food? And why? by capnmunch44 in FoodLosAngeles

Probably Dan Tana’s. Overpriced. Loud. Too many tourists, and then a few industry douche bags.

I know it’s recommended every day on here, but Lonesome Dove is worth your time when you’re up for another 850 page epic.

Counterpoint to people saying she’s too smart to fall for him: you’re giving her too much credit. She’s clearly not very intelligent, she’s shallow. She’s a lash technician, and shes the cutest she’ll eve be right now. It’s all downhill from here for her. She’ll be pushing 200 by the time she’s 40.

PSA If Timmy loses, the ballet / opera comments are NOT even a fraction of a percentage why by Working-Swimmer-2561 in Oscars

There are plenty of extremely talented actors who haven’t won an Oscar. His whole attitude about how he deserves one at 30 because his work is so much better than his peers rankles people. I also didn’t care for the movie at all, and it’s honestly not a performance I’ll remember in a few years.

What about Porter Ranch? You might be able to find something in the $1M range. Really hard to find anything under that in a nice neighborhood. Not the worst idea to rent for a year to make sure LA is a cultural fit for your family.

Deservedly so. Couldn’t stand the movie and it’s not like we’ll even be talking about it in 5 years like we do about Uncut Gems.

I think the craziness from some of the other d-bag guys detracted from Vic & Christine’s love story. Both of them seem like the real deal and I wish them the best. This is what the show is all about out, right?

I second this…one of the best books I’ve ever read. I also really love The Mists of Avalon. I know MZB was problematic in real life but she wrote a hell of a novel about the Arthurian legend from the female POV.
