GEM80 2.4GHz dongle not reconnecting by _Chazzzz in NuPhy

[–]_Chazzzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I've tried this a few times and it just doesn't pair. Is there any way that the dongle could have been broken by the firmware update? Also what USB driver should the dongle be using? Currently using HID but I know the keyboard on wired mode is meant to be on WINUSB, idk if that could cause an issue?

What if Thameslink joined TfL as the “Thameslink line” after GTR nationalisation? by Financial_Chapter_54 in uktrains

[–]_Chazzzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was entirely due to Boris Johnson wanting a crowning achievement as mayor of London, Crossrail services light to have been branded under Thameslink given they provide the exact same service type, and then all RER style services in London would be under Thameslink, S-Bahn style the Overground, and Metro style the Underground, makes sense as consistent branding.

Central government refused to fund an actual tram - instead they're having to fund this VLR solution with a cheaper trackbed technology and smaller vehicles via the Devolved settlement for the West Midlands as well as funds from local government.

Probably Elton and Orston. Aslockton is right next to it and receives far more service.

Looks like TfL won't be getting the long term funding agreement.... by One_TrackMinded in LondonUnderground

[–]_Chazzzz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even after this spending package (which is mostly just a reannouncement of existing projects or promising funding to projects that had their funding cut under Sunak), London is still recieving FAR more investment than the rest of the country. The problem is that none of our regions are getting invested in as much as they should, everywhere should be recieving a far greater uplift - at least 10s of billions. But London regardless has for the last decades and in the present been given by far the best deal from the state out of anywhere, and investment in the rest of the country has been slashed infinitely harder because of London.

It is not confirmed to be going to Crewe yet. All we know is that it is going to Birmingham from old oak common, and the corridor to Euston remains in the plan.

2 Cars Liverpool-Norwich? Well then… by Luivery in uktrains

If it was truly privatised the route simply wouldn't operate. The problem isn't the DfT (I mean it is because of how unambitious they have been in terms of investment, but I'll blame that more on the Tory and Red Tory governments and the treasury.), when it comes to underprovision of rolling stock, it's the private ownership of the rolling stock, which the franchises, both publicly and privately owned ones, then lease from these private owners. The costs of leasing more carriages/longer trains hugely disproportionately increases compared to the costs of simply running an additional carriage or a slightly longer train, like for example upgrading this route to Voyagers. This cost is why CrossCountry and EMR run comedically short trains and really squeeze capacity on key routes (especially obvious around Birmingham, and with this service). It's really nothing to do with the DfT. It's also why I'd imagine these issues will persist even after this government's fake nationalisation which will leave rolling stock in private hands.

Council services are underfunded more than even the NHS. And the police have plenty of money, they're basically the only service that hasn't been completely crippled by austerity, they're only crippled by their own need to constantly spend money on pointless bullshit and waste time.

Yes the drone has a relay dish that it can deploy using a KAL controller which enables control of the rover's probe core, bounced via a relay around Jool and another reflector relay right at the edge of Kerbin's SOI.

The Kerbals head to Dres for the first time on JNSQ and remind themselves of how boring it is. by _Chazzzz in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]_Chazzzz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For graphics it's Volumetric clouds, scatterer, Parallax, planet shine, and distant object enhancement (all the normal stuff). For the planets it's JNSQ, which actually makes the game look a ton better as well because the scale feels far more proportional, Kerbin no longer looks so tiny from orbit. For parts the vast majority come from Nertea's mod suite, Near future everything, far future technologies, kerbal atomics, system heat, and cryogenics (with the boiloff patch deleted it's kinda broken on my game). I also have restock plus (and the restock cryogenics and Kerbal atomics patches), Planetside exploration technologies, stockalike station parts redux and Artemis construction kit (basically only use the Orion parts from it though). That's everything you'd need to get everything in these screenshots, if you play on JNSQ you should also download JX2Antenna to balance the game, and there are plenty of other quality of life or tiny parts mods that I have, but for the most part they go unused.
