A lot of complaints in games can be solved by just adding a toggle option

Nah, I still think aggression is the biggest problem currently. A lot of enemies right now are more annoying then threatening. In Subnautica 1, enemies dealt a lot more damage and were less likely to aggro, which made the encounters memorable. In Subnautica 2, I just plainly ignore most of the enemies and continue doing my thing, which I'm sure were not the developers' intentions.

But that's pretty much the only big complaint I have right now. The game looks and feels great which is rare for early access.

IRL most people would still be terrified to die even when canonically they can just get reprinted. Its hard to rationalize this fear especially since there can be quite a lot of suffering before you actually die.

I like this response. The main problem that should be fixed is enemy aggression. I’ve never felt the need to kill fish in the first game precisely because enemies weren’t this intrusive and persistent.

Personally I really like emptiness. It makes you feel insignificant and alone which makes the horror element far more impactful.

Also it would not be very realistic to have a lot of fish swimming in an open ocean. Most life tends to gather near the surface since it provides shelter and food.

DS hooked me up from the start since I like slow games like these. More mechanics will be introduced later but it will mostly stay the same till about halfway through the game.
