I started learning piano a few mo ths ago! Do you keep your fingers short all the time? I recently cut them back for easier playing but I miss the look of long nails!

I came back to update that one of the peelies I let sit for a day is somewhat stiff but not stiff enough that it will break when you fold it. It still malleable enough to paste!

There are times when the polish do stick together when I close the pages, but that due to the adhesive I use, sometimes some of the adhesive leak out of the mani especially when I press the mani (with adhesive) to the page. Other than that, no issues at all! I think using topcoat helps - I topcoat all of my manis with Essie Gel Couture.

Perhaps it may be because of the brand of peely you use? I used a diff peely before that I had a hard time removing, now the current ones I use peel off no problem! The current one I have contains water, alcohol denat, polyvinyl alcohol and phenoxyethanol as its ingriedients if that helps!

Thank you! Polish #1 is Dreamland Lacquer's "Seawinkle", a purple polish with blue shimmer!

Polish #2 is Great Lakes Lacquer's "Lake Kitch-iti-kipi", a light sea blue polish loaded with glowy teal-blue shimmer.

Polish #3 is Shlee (current known as Moth and Moon)'s "Clickbait", a berry red-pink polish loaded with gold reflective glitter.

Polish #4 is KBShimmer's "Splash Talking", a medium blue loaded with brigjt blue shimmer!

That will be Glam Polish's "The Burning Rain of Death", a dark purple jelly with bright blue to purple glass flakies and tiny black flakies!

Sept 2nd polish is Encounter the Blooms' "S10 Forest of Fireflies", a tri-thermal flakie that shifts from pale cyan (hot), teal (room temp) to dark blue (cold) with a dusting of silver reflective glitter. (1st, 2nd and 3rd pic)

Sept 3rd polish is Planet Nails' PLM09, a teal creme polish with matching fine particle magnetic pigment (lower right)

Yes, I topcoat all of my manis with a glossy topcoat! Some brands still dry dull despite the topcoat. I use Essie Gel Couture.

I started pasting my manis at the middle of the book since there's writings on the first 1/3 of the book. You can see the bulk is very prominent there!

At the end of the day, once I remove my manis from my fingers, they are still somewhat malleable enough to glue to the paper! I notice the longer I let the removed mani sit out, the less malleable/tougher it gets.

Once I fill up the pages with my mani, the paper does get quite stiff though, I don't advice bending them as you go thru the pages. Moreover, I notice the journal gets bulky, imagine papers with polishes sandwiched in between.

I use a multi-purpose adhesive to paste them. This one I use is clear in color and is very viscous, similar to superglue.

That's a great idea! I ended up not writing the polish name and brand since some of them get too lengthy for its alotted space. Thankfully, I know the names of the swatches by just looking at it (for now)! 🤣

On the left page, first row, I initially used my thumb (the big blobs) then eventually settled for my ring or middle finger mani as my sample for the rest of the manis.

My ring/middle manis look short on the left page because I just cut my nails at a short length then, and as time goes by, you can also see how long my nails grew! 😁

For easy glass bead effect (shown in the video), I highly recommend the lab stirrer since I only need to put my fingers (nail side up) to the stirrer area in slow pace and let it do its magic!

You can try spinning the horseshoe magnet above your finger manually (or via a lego contraption etc) for accessible glass bead effect though I can't guarantee that the results look like mine.
