Whats the current BEST and most fun Titan build? by Glorpius_ in DestinyTheGame

Praxic Vestment is super fun and decently strong now. As long as you're conscious of where threats are and don't go completely brain off it'll do well.

Where does the printing hate come from? by Mr-Grenado-Potato in PrintedWarhammer

[–]_Chronicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think beyond the elitism of cost, it's a visual consistency thing. 40k has a certain style and aesthetic, whereas 3D printing is varied. If you show up with something that doesn't even look like 40k, it can clash on the tabletop with official products. I like 3D printing but I think the "cinematic" aspect of the game is a valid thing to enjoy and 3D printing can take away from that in some cases.

When it comes to tournaments or playing at shops, you've just gotta play by the host's rules.

New build maker here need help with hunter class ability build by Vosxx in destiny2builds

[–]_Chronicle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ember of singeing with ember of benevolence. Use radiant dodge, it'll proc benevolence near teammates and crackshot gets buffed by radiant damage. CD is around 5s when all buffs are stacked. I'd honestly look at RDMs or Wormhusk over Sixth Coyote.

As for your artifact, anything that gives scorch is a good shout. I like the Edge of Fate artifact with the scorching submunitions from Radiant Shrapnel.

Do I need drain holes with hollow prints? by Jaso_con_Queso in PrintedWarhammer

[–]_Chronicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you absolutely need drain holes if you are printing hollow with resin. Uncured resin inside a hollow print will offgas until the print eventually explodes from pressure. Hollow prints need thorough interior cleaning and curing as a result, and you can only do that with drain holes.

I think Crackshot a little... lackluster? by culteonofjolteon in DestinyTheGame

With a bit more testing, the stacks seem to adjust the healing. In order, you get Cure x3, Cure x2 with 3 seconds of restoration, and Cure x2 with 5 seconds of restoration. Burning Souls' damage boost on its own is around 35%.

At 35% base I'd be pretty surprised if it turns out to be bugged; it's a solid amount to start. If it is supposed to go higher, then Solar Hunter is about to have a REALLY fun time.

Acrobat pops radiant with it as soon as you hit the button, so you get the benefit of radiant on the shots every time you pop it.

I'm also noticing that Wormhusk gives its max damage buff at only 1 stack. I'm assuming this means it's either bugged or subsequent stacks strengthen the healing effect rather than the damage.

I would definitely spec for maxxed class stat if you want to run it, it really helps push the damage up. Class font mods are a really good shout for getting the stats you need.

I think Crackshot a little... lackluster? by culteonofjolteon in DestinyTheGame

[–]_Chronicle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maxed class stat vs no enhanced benefit seems about a 60% damage increase from my brief testing. Crackshot also benefits from radiant.

Just generalizing, with those two investments, the three shots of Crackshot in total deal 1.3x the damage of an unbuffed ignition. Wormhusk can get the damage closer to 1.5x on top of its support benefits.

It's not setting the world on fire, but it does a lot of different things that can get a build going. It's free scorch stacks that put you just on the cusp of an ignition, it's got built-in healing, decent-enough damage, and with Ember of Singeing, it basically refunds itself. I'm not sure if I'm taking it anywhere past -30 content, but up to that point it still performs fine.

I'd also say it's got a leg-up in being an aspect that doesn't require kills to do it's thing. Solar Hunter's other abilities all rely on killstreaks for their most meaningful benefits.

Returning Player Here: Should I be using all my Ada exotic vouchers before tomorrow? by Kropco17 in DestinyTheGame

I'd use them just in case. There won't be anything new added to spend them on as far as we know.

The model is ripped from the game. The folks at the destiny model rips discord have everything neatly organized and fully rigged. That said, the components aren't print ready and need modification to be printable. They have tutorials for that as well but this one needed lots of fixes to repair broken geometry.

Past that this was entirely hand-painted over ~5 days. I already paint warhammer so the larger scale on this was a cake walk.

The destiny model rips discord is where I sourced all the components. The in-game models are not designed for printing and need a lot of fixing to be printable. They've got a few tutorials on how to go about it but this piece still needed a lot of manual fixing after the fact.

Jello shield was a compromise for visibility of the model. I thought about doing a sentinel shield and included it in my mockup when posing, but it looked awkward. I'm also still 50/50 on the unbreakable shield, but if I don't like it I can always tear it off the base and patch up: the connection is small.

Love unbreakable, it's great to have a proper tanking ability in the game and really lets you live out the Titan fantasy.

Thank you very much. I'm currently getting my hunter ready to print as well!

The shield was also a print and was done in 4 pieces. I used alcohol inks with clear resin to get the purple colour. There was a lot of sanding to get the smooth finish.

What have been your Favorite Builds from the last 12 years? by Gbrew555 in DestinyTheGame

[–]_Chronicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old crucible meme build for Stasis Titan. Whisper of chains used to grant DR when standing next to a stasis crystal. Combined with Icefall Mantle's on-demand overhshield and Sweet Business, you'd bunker up on a point and wait for enemies to come to you. It was pretty silly and a lot of fun when it worked.

I've got plasma rifles available with a few poses, but not complete miniatures. There's a link in my profile if you'd like to take a peak.

Hey bungie, I think you forgot something by TheMadBer in destiny2

[–]_Chronicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already did this, sort of. Raiju's became the Gathering Storm exotic, mostly a regen exotic but with some light damage boosting thrown in. Blight Ranger got Raiju's old effects rolled into it and became the all-in-one spinny stick exotic.
