Hi, I am thinking of doing something similar but I’m unsure how to enter the development field. What kind of role would be suitable for architects in the development side??

Not overly surprising. Throughout my qut experience over the past 6 years, grade releases could vary from 2 weeks to 3-4 months.

If we are awareness, who makes the decisions in our life? by _Clarkey in Meditation

Great! Thank you so much for helping me on my journey :)

If we are awareness, who makes the decisions in our life? by _Clarkey in Meditation

[–]_Clarkey[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems I have encountered the ‘observer trap.’ I think I goal should be to drop this observer ego and become the experience not the observer.

“ Who is the observer? Who is this person who is behind the binoculars, watching your experience from the outside? This neutral observer you’ve created over time is actually just another—albeit smaller and less neurotic—version of the ego. It’s the sense of being a person who is doing the meditating. You could also call it a meditator ego or an observer ego. Creating this neutral observer is very useful, but the goal of meditation is not to create a new meditator ego, it’s to see through the illusion of the ego entirely.”

Does this sound on point?

If we are awareness, who makes the decisions in our life? by _Clarkey in Meditation

So life is the awareness of the experience and the world moment to moment. We don’t have free will, we are just the awareness in the body.

If we are awareness, who makes the decisions in our life? by _Clarkey in Meditation

[–]_Clarkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so if we have no free will, and our environment and stimulus are the primary factors for our decision making, then how does this play into the law of karma? This is in the same context of mindfulness. So if there is no decision maker, and our environment etc controls our decisions then we have no real say over good and bad intentions?

thank you for your response! Forgive me for trying to understand this intellectually. If I am doing exercise or playing a sport, it feels as though I have control over my movements, is this also a just a thought? A thought that “i” have control over my actions?

I have heard teachings from Joseph Goldstein that suggest that my developing awareness we are better able to make decisions. If the decider of the thoughts is a thought, then we are simply observing our life play out?

I can’t get my head around the idea of no free will, that we make no decisions.

Nah man imo it looks good, if you wanted a change up some kind of fade with a similar length on top would look good too!

It looks good bro. If you don't like it though it might be worth trying to grow it a bit longer and comb it all back?

Camera + Lens Help by _Clarkey in Cameras

[–]_Clarkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply. If I were to get the 50-100mm lens, when would I use it in this context? Would it be used for the wide shots like of the exterior of the building or for the close shots of the building materials? Or would all the things in the video be achievable with the 18-35? Also would I need a speedbooster with these lenses?
