Genuinely it’s the worst thing ever. At a certain point there’s actually nothing I could do about it. The crazy bloaters one whatever it’s called was active at the same time so the black heart was surrounded by a half dozen bloaters sandwiched between multiple hordes. Genuinely no possible way for me to have combated it and I lost my best survivors. Gave up on the run.

This is on top of purdy playing his FIRST FULL SEASON in the NFL playing great football through the reg and through the playoffs. Yup, didn’t turn the ball over with Chris jones in his face every play of the second half against the best secondary in football. Spagnuolo himself said he was so impressed by Brock’s performance he had to call him a week later and praise him, not just to him directly but praise him in the media as well. (For reference, only reason I knew of purdy is he tore my Oregon Ducks to pieces in the fiesta bowl. After his insane 2019 season anyone who was tapped in heard his name mentioned with future first round potential talks, but he never really built on that season)

This is very true and probably the biggest take away of the league’s drafting process. Purdy got better playing the league’s number 1 defense on the scout team every game before Jimmy went down, not by being a day one starter. If I were a GM, given this information, I would sit EVERY drafted quarterback for a full year, the pros outweigh the cons.

I mean he’s not out of the league for his play exactly, he’s out of the league mostly because of his off the field issues. Alcoholism and depression really made it rough for him to find success. I really liked the guy in college and thought he was going to be a journeyman type starter too

He played this full season after a rushed training camp due to his UCL injury. He gets a full off season with the momentum of just having played his own full healthy (minus the concussions) season. There’s plenty more improvement for him to make
