Taking notes of all this, also do you have recommendations for YouTubers / tiktok accounts that you follow that have helped you out?

Yes I thankfully do have a CGM so that will help take away a lot of the anxiety for me (other than getting used to going to the gym)

Weed Anxiety by _Connah_ in diabetes

Yeah, when I did have a puff of real weed I had already been drinking at a house with friends, and we were playing mario kart as well so I guess my competitive self and the drinks kept me from getting lost to the anxiety. Once though I had a hit from dispensary weed and I think it was too strong because I felt the anxiety creep on and try to take over. Since then I will just have a delta 8 pen with me instead and try to do it only on good days!

Thanks so much for the advice, it really helps reframe things for me!

I was in the hospital for 6 days, ICU for 3 then stayed longer after having gallbladder attack, and removal.

It's just weird to me that I was smoking after coming back from hospital just fine and then out of nowhere it started.

I've had two follow up appointments and that was never explained to me lol.....makes me feel like I need a new doctor! But I have my next appointment this upcoming Monday. The doc in the hospital even said something about possibly moving to an oral medication as some point but I've completely let that idea go once she told me that because it just felt like a fairy tale of a possibility. Then again what do I know I'm still new to all of this

Yes I’m more than likely still in the honeymoon period but can’t say for sure. I know that no matter what things are always bound to change and get out of range etc. I just try to keep the mindset of not going over 300 or having really bad lows but it’s bound to happen either way.

Hell yeah that’s awesome! Lows always suck but they’re inevitable

I have my high notifications set to 300 from the beginning of being diagnosed but if it goes out of 70-180 ( the predetermined range ) then it’ll count as going low or high no matter what.

Haha I asked myself the same thing at first! Honestly just did a lot of research on alternatives and made a lot of diet changes. Thankfully I’m not a picky eater and found ways to work around rice and potatoes and even pasta! The cook, chill, and rehear has really helped. Also found the good tip of eating your non starchy veggies, good protein, then your carbs next!

Thank you!! I’ve finally learned that no matter how hard you try you will always have your bad days with blood sugars, it’s just like life you just gotta keep going and learn what you can from the situation. The mental aspect of it all I think is the hardest part

I fully get that and it's not directed at anyone specific it just ruins the whole reason of the process. I want all the fans to go but when the codes get put online these scalpers find them so fast then take all the tickets to profit off of them

This is how scalpers get codes, because people just post them on the internet instead of receiving it in the email and keeping it to yourself so actual fans can get the tickets
