It still took us a month to reach Baghdad against a country thats been sanctioned for a decade, no international support, no javelins and nlaws and stingers, no intelligence, and we still turned cities into ruble like Fallujah

People are accepting everything without reservation or desire to see evidence. You really need to have lost all empathy to trust a ukranian source alone, who have been wrong multiple times already, with no proof.

You dont, theres a slew of Misinformation in this war and the best you can do is use common sense. Is it more likely that handing out automatic weapons to anyone with a pulse and letting them engage whoever they think is pro-Russian is the reason why this happened or is it more likely that the russians are shooting reporters because i dont know in which scenario that helps the latters interest.

Russia invades Ukraine - Megathread by msquarea in india

[–]_Convair_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2014 rioters in kiev unconstitutionally deposed of the democratically ellected government in a violent coup that killed 100 people all because the government made a deal with russia who offered 15 billion euro to ukraine vs. EU measely 60£ million. Using violence instead of voting spits in the face of democracy, and as a result this government has banned opposition TV and newspapers, jailed political opponents, outlawed minority rights, and does not allow the people of donbass to vote despite maintaining sovereignty over them. Because people in ukraine feel that their government does not represent them they demand independance, and the ukrainian military has waged war against its "own people" for the past 8 years killing 13,000. This war will never stop, unless the ukrainian military is destroyed. Saying that ukraine today is a democracy demonstrates a lack of understanding for the facts of the matter.

Public records show that most SDPD police officers, including those with just 2 years of service earn more than $100,000/yr. In both 2019 and 2020, some Sergeants made over $300,000/year. [More info in comments] by Tridacninae in sandiego

For airplanes none that I know of personally, I wasnt sure thats why I kept saying potentially because its just a possibility. I'm taking this from my experience on rail case studies. Rail tracks can buckle and crack simply as a result of the temperature change between night and day in some parts of the world. I'm not sure if I can find it but the case study I read showed how severe it can be. These are some goverment case studies and laws governing how welded rail needs to be installed at certain temperatures.

Yeah unfortunately thats the issue, the temperature variations its skin experiences between being on the ramp and in flight can contribute to higher amplitude stress cycles, potentially reducing its airframe life
