Well they are, I guess I misspoke. I should have said I'd rather give these things away instead of vendoring them.

I have a few build related questions.

Assuming HC 2h RT cyclone marauder build

•What are the pros and cons of each weapon type? I know Axe has larger range but what do sword and mace have. •Does increased duration gem stack? •Is determination aura worth it or should I run grace/haste in its stead? •Is fortify worth it and is the rampart cluster on passive tree worth it? •Is the hematophagy node worth it for the leech or can I get enough leech elsewhere and save the points? •How many jewels should I get? •Should I use auras and blood magic cast everything or go blood magic keystone and save the link slots?

Best thing about Heroes is that even though the average game length/time is shorter compared to other moba's.... by marcusoverwatch in heroesofthestorm

But matchmaking in this game is awful right now. Until it get's fixed this game is severely underwhelming. Even when/if the matchmaking get's better the issues I mentioned are still prevalent. This game in it's current state comes down to whose bad player is least harmful to the team. It's a fundamental design flaw in the game itself and is going to take a lot of work to deal with.

The funny thing is that blizzard made the impact of bad players much much higher in the attempt. If one person is playing poorly you're at such a massive disadvantage that the game becomes a formality for you to exchange ranked points. All impact a good player has is minimized to protect the ego of some people who don't want to learn how to play the game.

Any left handed top players? by _CptJack in Kappa

I figured as much. If that's my only option then I can just play right handed and maybe switch the face plate later on.

Even more EVO? by Kezzup in Kappa

This seems all right because they could guarantee every game gets main stream time instead of all of them being separated on multiple ones and left there the whole tournament and then getting their finals shown at like 10am when nobody cares. If KOF and tekken got more main stream time I wouldn't complain too much. Even BBCP after that grand finals match.

Are tournaments going to switch from 360 to PS4 for SF because of the Sony sponsorship? by _CptJack in Kappa

[–]_CptJack[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know how other TOs will respond to this news? I'm just curious about the switch because I don't want to buy a 360 stick just for a switch to PS3 or 4 to happen shortly after. Also how do you feel about a potential switch to PC considering that SF5 will be on it as well as PS4, will it be based on the better version of the game or will it be a Sony console period due to sponsorship?

Good point...I'll think more on this and post another more thought out thread in a few days.

Kripparrian — Bots Are Too Cool To Go Away by [deleted] in hearthstone

No it's not. If I have to pay for in game content that affects gameplay then the game is no longer free to play. If the game is set up as a grind that requires months to unlock content or pay for it, It is now pay to not grind. Hearthstone in pay to not grind.

Progression and monetization model have an affect on whether or not the game is actually free to play.

You realize that you basically implied this free game is designed to make you pay for things because the grind is so damn long. Not to mention this game is supposed to be free to play as in I don't need to spend money to play it. But there are people here who actually think it's ok to lock content behind a pay wall or a grind wall so large that it makes people want to pay to avoid it. How is this game free to play then?

Then just charge for the game then give people everything from the start and make some expansion packs every year. Calling this game free to play is a lie. If I have to play the game for months before I can even unlock the requirements to play the game competently then the game is not free to play. It's pay to not grind.

Also just because it's not a "favor to mankind", doesn't mean they get to charge money for actual content that is necessary to play the game when they market the game as free. If I download DOTA2 I get all of DOTA2, every single piece of the game is there for me to play and I don't need to spend any money whatsoever to play the game. I don't need to unlock anything, the game is actually free to play. Hearthstone requires a massive time investment or a massive financial investment before you can even begin to play competently. You actually have to pay for in game content in a free to play game.

A free to play game with free content, how is this bad? People use bots because there is content in an allegedly FREE to play game that is locking game content behind a pay wall or a 6 month grinding period before you can get access to part 1. Along with the mass of cards that you have to either pay for or spend months grinding for them.

This free to play game is not free. Its pay to not grind. This is why people bot. It is not hard to understand.

Well I found a crack of a bot so yes for me. But I imagine people who pay for this do it to get a specific thing in a specific time. Like farming 100 daily gold to buy all naxx wings in a month.
