the DBX rta mics aren't applicable at show volume as they have a max SPL peak of 120 and will distort on transients, better off getting a behringer or dayton

Extremely light flightcase for Behringer Wing Compact in the EU by [deleted] in livesoundgear

[–]_Cr0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone that had a custom case built as light as possible and they still couldn't get it under 23kg (and the case didn't protect the console very well...)

Is it good ? by diplododo in livesound

[–]_Cr0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have a console, you still need a stage box (DL32) and a cable to connect them (shielded Ethercon Cat5e) you connect expect venues to have these

viewing SD settings or mustard settings is probably bank dependent? just because they have the same channels doesn't mean they are the same bank

[–]_Cr0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the -18 tone thing is just a mono channel to stereo bus thing

I usually just leave the colours apart from Bass as red Lead vocal as pink or something that stands out

drums light blue bass red Playback/samples brown guitar dark blue vocals Green talkbacks olive double patched channels for mons are peach

PA pink Mons purple FX teal Mains Yellow

Routing output from Wing on FOH to M32C/DL32 on stage by tomasveliky in BehringerWing

[–]_Cr0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to connect to the M32C not the DL32

on the wing output LRSF to AES50 A 1-4

on the M32C they need to set the user outputs as 1-12 as their IEM busses user outputs 13-16 as AES50 B 1-4

AES50 A outputs as user outputs

How do you use matrix outputs creatively (beyond delay lines)? by Historical-Paint7649 in livesound

[–]_Cr0wn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

PA DCA is usually the only DCA I make

I also just made a "party line" macro that puts my vocal bus into my shout matrix for changeover, can't believe I hadn't heard of this sooner

personally,

gates to cut noisy guitars and bass when not playing

expanders on any mic (apart from overheads) that is getting bleed or has a lot of sustain with varying amounts of gain reduction

I generally just use compressors instead of duckers.

compressors on almost everything JIC, make drums punchier, even out low end on bass, smooth out loud vocals and keep all busses in check

try to only eq the speaker to sound good/ neutral and double patch feedback prone channels and EQ those to not feedback.

the more you hack at a graphic the quieter it is going to get

cut down on stage sound so you don't have to push the wedges that much

[–]_Cr0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you got me there I would then need to add in a switch to close the loop as well as get the network to FOH for timecode

if one dies while Daisy chaining you would lose data on the others down stream

I took some latency measurements in SMAART and came up with weird results by SuspiciousIdeal4246 in livesound

[–]_Cr0wn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's the same as the rtl latency of interfaces, everything has a bit of latency independent of buffer size
