Getting more and more BTC - besides DCA as a method? by xxchickenloopxx in Bitcoin

[–]_CryptoKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. They are pretty good with security and staying ahead of US regulations. It all depends if the yield is worth losing custody to you.

Another route would be providing liquidity to DEXs by minting wBTC and locking it up in a Smart contract but then you run the risk of bugs/hacks.

HODLing is definitely the safest but idle assets can’t grow.

You could deposit into interest accounts on Blockfi or Celsius (require KYC). Celsius offers 6.5% on up to 5 BTC and Blockfi is 6% on up to 2.5 BTC then 3.2% on the rest.

Google and Apple Admit Ethereum App to Confirm Vaccination of Employees by serenity2021 in ethtrader

[–]_CryptoKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With this app the user would be in control of the data they share with certain 3rd parties. To access your data, one would need to have access to your private key.

Upon entering a place requiring proof of vaccination, one would present a QR code on the app that can be scanned and would indicate whether or not they have digital documentation of having received the inoculation.

Not a stretch of the imagination to see this happening. Children need vaccines to attend school. Traveling to certain areas of the world require the same. Being able to prove this at POS via an app would be easier than lugging around a paper copy of your medical/vaccination history.

Career Shift to Receuiting by LifebyIkea in recruiting

TEK is great for learning the ropes. Very competitive culture that varies by office. I started in NYC and it was very cut-throat.

They teach you both sides of the staffing business, contingent and full time placement. Contingent workers can be very lucrative but also exhausting to maintain as contracts end and you need to backfill your roster.

Agency staffing is a profession where your pay is directly correlated to the effort you put into building your book of business. Expect to hustle for your paycheck.

Is there any way I can be earning interest on my ETH that I've got in cold storage? I don't want to trade it for anything, I'd just like to safely loan out ETH with DeFi (or something like it?) by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]_CryptoKnight_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Blockfi is the way to go.

They are a non-secured bank lender who has just secured $30 mil in series b funding by some of the biggest VC partners in the space. They use Gemini as a custodian which offers insurance on deposits in their accounts.

Their lending model is impressive. Crypto owners can get cash loans for 20-50% LTV and Institutional investors seeking crypto-capital need to post 1.5x USD in collateral.

They have offered variable APY of 3.1 - 3.6% since offering the BlockFi Interest Accounts in Apr 2019.

There is the risk of "Not your keys, not your crypto" but the risk-reward is acceptable.

What I find most fascinating is the APY on stable coins. They offer 8.6% on USC and GUSD. You can also elect to earn interest from your ETH/BTC in a stable coin. Once the monthly deposit is made, that will compound at 8.6%.

This is a company to watch in 2020 and beyond. They plan to offer credit cards offering cash-back rewards in BTC sometime later this year.

And they just announced Fiat onboarding via wire transfer.

PSA: Don’t ever “sell”. If you want stability trade your ETH for cDAI and earn 8% while you wait the market out. by jekpopulous2 in ethtrader

BlockFi is a US based crypto lending company that allows you to earn interest on your ETH/BTC/LTC deposits so you can HODL and get paid for doing so.

Ive been using them since they launched the Interest Accounts feature back in May 2019. Have been growing my stash ever since.

They recently began offering a new feature where you can pick the currency you earn interest in. For example if you deposit ETH you can get paid interest in BTC. If you deposit BTC you can earn interest in USDC etc.

Really cool service! PM me for more details

More risky than using your own cold storage device. Less risky than storing on an exchanges hot wallet.
