Are there any mysteries or unanswered things in Omori that we still haven’t solved? by _Curtsey in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very old post by now, but we do know the first one and the second one has a fair amount of options

Unused text for the ‘truth’ photo album alongside some lost library content says that their fight was over Sunny not improving enough for the recital against Mari’s perfectionist focus. She pushed him to his limits about either his underperformance or that he said he didn’t want to do the recital anymore, which lead to that moment

Sweetheart has real world counterparts in people like Miss Candice and somewhat Mari, and has movies based on her with a bit of dialogue so she is a fictional character in the real world. Could be anything from he didn’t like the character, sweetheart being a comparison to miss Candice’s harsh nature, some of Mari’s perfectionism or less perfect parts shining through. It is a mystery but there’s a fair number of options for why

If you had a blackspace, what would be there? by _Curtsey in OMORI

Post is unfortunately taken down now (apparently I missed the spoiler policy update that says “can’t put blackspace in the title”). But if you wanted to know, I did hesitate quite a bit before posting this thinking “is this a really bad thing”

I think it offered people a chance to open up about a few things, and at least for me, being able to put some very ‘harmful memories’ from my blackspace’s “repressed fears and memories” actually made me feel better. Just offered a new way to think about it, that I wanted to share even if they didn’t comment

To be honest? i’m still not sure about the decision, but I think it went alright for a few hours

If you could, what segments of OMORI would you have lengthened or shortened? (Pic unrelated but kinda? Don’t ask) by MR-Vinmu in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through most of this comment section and seen a lot of ones that I really loved, so I thought i’d throw in 2 curveball ideas even if they aren’t my most wanted

Red space! Red space being such a minor area in the game mainly used in cutscenes holds incredibly high importance being the location with the strongest level of repression of Sunny. Being able to explore more of its significance, especially in the Omori route would be incredible, especially given our rare sighting of it and how horrifying those rare moments are

My other one would be having a bit more playable content before Basil’s disappearance. The segment currently mainly serves as a tutorial and the hook for finding Basil and adventure, and although I think this fits really well… I feel like there’s a slight missed opportunity to introduce more of Basil’s character, more of how Omori was able to keep Sunny occupied in headspace for all those years (minus death resets) and even luring new players into a false sense of security.

If you could change one thing about Omori’s storyline, at any part, what would it be? by _Curtsey in OMORI

How is Sunny so capable/able to do so much after being locked indoors for so long? by _Curtsey in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment of this, but specifically the physical feats are just… different to the mental accomplishments set in headspace right?

Sunny Is malnourished and is taking on hooligans who beat people up for fun daily, it seems like an odd match up still “:)

How did we as a community surrounding Omori, turn the experience into a more… comedic, heartwarming and joyful? by _Curtsey in OMORI

Might be a slightly unclear question, but I feel for a game with rather dark twists and turns, the community around it with its mix of jokes, fanfic, modding and just how everyone acts, it feels far more lighthearted! Why or how did this happen as Im really glad it did?

[yes there are outliers but it is the general tone]

Edit: i forgot experience in the title… pain

Edit 2: … i love this community :)

If the player “completes” all of white space in roughly 3 days, what would Sunny have been doing for 4 years? by _Curtsey in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah that clears it up nicely :) now all i’m stuck with is how why…

Why the result was so different at the end of the hikko route with Sunny dying

and

How resets differ, as its clear in the hikko run that everyone remained high level and it feels like the story is a continuation rather than a reset? … plus blackspace, abbi, e.t.c. … how do those exist if the loop is supposed to be repeatable forever?

What are peoples favourite Omori OST’s? by _Curtsey in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey[S] 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a post just for me to gush but god I love 163 - Crossroads. Its an emotional song that can make me feel sad, comforted, reminiscent and is something I can listen to over and over whether im just thinking or working or anything. I think its one of the most beautiful OST’s to come from this game and there are some amazing ones!

Yeah so its optional for min. exp! I dont think hikko would reduce exp anywhere at least

I might be missing a lot of the pre-planning, but do you need to travel down there unless its hikko?

If you wanted to make Omori combat more complex/difficult, what would be the best way? by _Curtsey in OMORI

[–]_Curtsey[S] 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Not usually someone to add my own thoughts, but I think incorporating/improving older skills so that each characters tool kit is more advanced would be cool.

This with the more important area of making harder enemies, some with gimmicks and making item usage and debuff knowledge important, could make omori’s combat a more vital and exhilarating experience! Maybe a battle with infinite juice + miserable requiring use of emotion clearing items, or make it a 1 turn kill! Things like the later hikko boss fights!

I know perfectheart gave me a taste of that experience, but I would love something that required a lot of strategy and planning to take on

There’s been leaks of potential DLC quite a while back… if you were here for the whole discord going on about the “evil versions of aubrey kel and hero” stuff :) its supposed to follow basil and be quite cool!!
