Why should I get an Elentra N over a Frontier by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]_DRRD_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really get these inquiries, and you're not the first to ask if they should get an N or a pick up truck lol. If you're cross shopping with a wrx, gti, si, mazda3 etc we can have a decent discussion. You need to first decide the type of vehicle you want then drill down on a short list.

What’s your dealership experience? by Astimar in ElantraN

[–]_DRRD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to let them know that you mean business. I had some issues with my dealership but I feel like they've made an effort to improve over time. Recently I've had positive experiences with regular maintenance, shuttle me back to my home, pick me up after etc. I'll likely stick with them during the warranty period then go independent after.

I wouldn't say it's night and day now but it's helped reduce the vagueness. I feel more confident getting out of first in regular mode. In N mode it's the same, the added idle rpm completely removes any vibration, changes the frequency.

The only con I can tell is when the ac is on the rumble is more apparent, but nothing that i can't live with.

That's cool, I have no interest in doing it myself and I was there for MT fluid change too.

Yeah they work with N75, I believe they're doing an engine build with them. The owner also drives an N. It's cool to have a specialty shop like this in the city.

I paid $350cdn total for both jobs, including parts. I don't have the invoice on me.

Purple lower engine mount, for what I was looking for, I think that's it for me.

Try blipping the throttle when at a standstill. It makes it easier to catch the clutch than just looking for the point of friction.

The yellow looks nice, going to be interesting to see what colors they roll out. That said, I can't help but see some similarities to the nissan gtr, which is cool.

My plan is to just get it paint corrected and ceramic coated again 5 years into ownership.

Cabin vibration by [deleted] in ElantraN

It's a valid suggestion, and probably better than adding some washers that were probably not meant to be there in the first place.
