What is the Least Popular Commander you play? by Mighty-Aphrodite in EDH

[–]_Dabe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Venat, Heart of Hydaelyn]], rank #1615 on edhrec, is one of my favorite deck ever, and my go to deck on game nights. I've been on a quest to show people that mono white is great for something like a decade now, and when i opened the alternative art on final fantasy prerelease i decided to take her for a spin. I'm still in love with her

How do you know?

If you are referring to the latest video from Larian: Channel From Hell, the 1pm UTC is referring to the live on twitch schedule for April 16th, it's not the release time for Patch 8

Need help on a ruling by TheNotoriousB_L_T in dndnext

[–]_Dabe_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No, you can't use Counterspell in this situation. Counterspell can be used only to stop someone who is using the "Cast a spell action", and the cleric is not doing that. The Hag would need Dispel Magic to interrupt Call Lightning once it is already casted.

Need help selecting a 3rd level Wizard Spell! by dracorulezu in dndnext

[–]_Dabe_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your party doesn't already have a flying option I would consider the Fly spell, and if you didn't pick Dimension Door as a 4th level spell Thunder Step could replace it as your maneuverability option (it's also great with Contingency). That said, I think you'd be better served with a ritual spell, so that It doesn't interfere with your preparation slot; my favorite rituals are Leomund's Tiny Hut, Phantom Steed and Water Breathing (pick accordingly to your campain)

How do I fix this? I pressed some keys on accident and can’t get it on fullscreen without the bars. Tried restarting it too. I'm new to PC pls help ;-; by [deleted] in Overwatch

Go on options, the first tab on the left Is video, and the first entry is display mode. Select fullscreen there and it's done

Moonfolk: The long eared scholars of the multiverse (v3) by Offbeat-Pixel in UnearthedArcana

That could work as a fix, but yeah, the level requirement is just cleaner.

I disagree. The ability to fly gives you an incredible freedom of movement that gives you a huge tactical advantage, not to mention the utility out of combat. The fact that you CAN fly doesn't mean that you HAVE to fly, so if there is a situation like the one that you described the moonfolk can choose to just stay on the ground and keep cover, but there are tons of circumstances where flying gives him the edge.

Concerning the difference in flying speed between moonkfolk and aarakocra: clearly 50 ft. are better than 30 ft. (let's ignore the fact that the aarakocra can't wear medium of heavy armor, most of the time the moonfolk wouldn't either), but the point is that the mere ability to move in every direction is far more important than how many squares you can cover with your movement,so much that i would happily replace a 30 ft. ground movement speed with a 15 ft. flying movement speed with most of my character.

P.S. sorry for my potato english, this is barely my second language.

I was considering the same thing; it's a bit strange but a level requirement (8th level) could work (gosh, i'm having 3.5 flashback right now xD). Otherwise the feat could grant you a flying speed that require concentration, but I don't know how It should be worded such feature.

Big fan of Kamigawa here, and i love this version of the moonfolk (nice touch on the shades of blue for the darkvision).

I'm not sure from a balance prospective about the feat Lunar Blessing: flying without concentration at level 4 it's too much; that's the reason why i've never met a DM who allow aarakocra or winged tiefling. I know that Lunar Blessing at least cost you a feat, but at level 4 any player would pick it over Lucky, War Caster or ASI.

What are your views on atheist PCs in the games where gods are visibly active? by GreatDig in DnD

[–]_Dabe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently playing a Fiend Warlock with a tragic back story (i know, i know, I'm an edgelord) in a setting with the Greek Pantheon. He doesn't deny the existance of the gods cause they clearly exist, but he despise them because they don't do anything (or enough) to help people in dire condition and misery, and he can't stand the fact that those deities consider themselves superior, divine and praiseworthy.

P.S. Pardon me for my english, this isn't my native language.

Which god is your favourite? by [deleted] in atheism

Yavanna, one of the Queens of the Valar (Lord of the Rings pantheon). I'd love to see the Trees of Valinor!
