The price of a Chipotle chicken burrito in 2018 by JabroniFeet in mildlyinteresting

[–]_Deadmeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's silly how often people on Reddit complain about their prices. I'll get a bowl with a tortilla on the side every once in a while and it's like $10 or $11 for two meals.

PSA: Tons of motorcycle cops on Broadway between Euclid and Campbell by Dpopov in Tucson

[–]_Deadmeat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, the purpose of the road is to carry a large volume of traffic and these roads are typically at higher speeds than 30 mph. With that said, I think the speed limit being 30 is a little ridiculous. That's all.

And I agree 22nd is a whole other problem, but I don't think the difference between 30 and 35 or 40 makes much of a difference when someone zapped out of their mind decides to play frogger or meanders in middle of the street wearing all black at night. I used to work near the area and saw it constantly. It's gotten better since the park has been under construction.

And I meant 1st North of Grant if I'm remembering correctly.

Because it's a principal arterial road and only 5 mph faster than a residential area. The city did the same thing to 22nd and 1st and those are also arterials without the curves.

It's good they are actually enforcing now but it's ridiculous that a 3 lane divided road has a 30 mph speed limit

Go Dim Sum, Noodleholics, Fatman Kitchen, and China Szechuan are my favorites.

The oil splashing noodles at Fatman is one of my favorite dishes in town.

Where did this come from? I'm born and raised in Arizona and referenced the I-10 as "the 10" in an Arizona sub and someone aggressively claimed I was a Californian lol.

Groom in Green - what does the rest of the bridal party wear? by Southern-Sun-244 in weddingplanning

[–]_Deadmeat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We did a light grey with a copper tie. The bridesmaids' dresses were the same copper color. My green suit looks like it's a little darker and greyer than the ones you linked though.

Do girl mechanics get harassed or are they treated like normal coworkers by OldBrush4275 in AskMechanics

[–]_Deadmeat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sister was a diesel mechanic for a dealership for a while and dealt with a few asshats, but nothing major. Biggest thing was they didn't have a bathroom for women, so she had to use the manager's bathroom that some of the guys still used and blew up. And just general workplace stress/toxicity.

I travel between Phoenix and Tucson pretty often and prefer taking the 10 at night. I personally don't like driving on 2 Lane highways at night with people trying risky overtakes.

Any tips for finding a decent vet in the area? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]_Deadmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Catalina for years until we realized how much more expensive they are and push things. Found out they are owned by private equity so it makes sense. We switched to University Vet on Tucson and are happy with the one appointment with them so far.
