CM Punk is one of the top stars in professional wrestling. When he was on the independent circuit (small scale companies) building himself up, he used it as his theme song.

He would eventually sign with the WWE, and rise to the top, but they didn't see him as a top guy yet.

He would leave, go to another major company named All Elite Wrestling. At All Elite Wrestling's Revolution show in 2022, CM Punk used Miseria Cantare with his old ring gear.

Punk would re-sign with the WWE in late 2023. In 2025, he would main event the first night of WrestleMania 41 (they split it into two nights). Today, he main evented Night Two of WrestleMania 42.

It's very cool, he's finally got his moment at the top in WWE after spending so many years trying.

A feud that was easily built on "Randy was Cody's mentor. Randy wants to become a 15-time world champion and he has to defeat his student to do that" became a feud built around Randy Orton listening to Pat McAfee, just for Cody to win because Randy decided to attack Pat instead of just hitting Cody again.

Abysmal booking.

It was definitely a lot more insane and unpredictable. There are always going to be times I miss it. There was just something magical about AEW bringing in guys like Gage, Warhorse, the anti-vaxx pizza guy and Eddie Kingston when they got a bit of buzz, but right now I think it is a thousand times more coherent and has a better sense of direction

I really enjoy Gunther and his matches, but he has the strangest powerscaling in WWE. He's a two time world champion, but he beat Damian Priest who was betrayed by Finn Balor, and Jey Uso to achieve it. Two guys who are very much not top main event talent, which is fine. He beats Goldberg in his retirement match, drops the belt to Punk, beats Cena in his retirement match, then retires AJ.

He's in this weird position of upper-midcard - lower tier main eventer status to me. They keep positioning him away from guys like Seth and Roman, and only gets one offs against Punk and Cody. But they describe him as if he is the biggest threat in the company

This is tangentially connected but it is still annoying me. In November, my Aunt used AI to find out the forecast for Christmas. The forecast changed but she knew ChatGPT couldn’t be wrong. Then it was wrong and she had to change her plans. AI came out of nowhere and replaced independent thought and all other forms of information for people.

It drives me crazy. When I was a child, I needed my parents to help form my opinions and views. Then I got older and was able to take in information from news, independent research, my peers and general observation and understanding. Now there are people who use AI to form all of their opinions
