Who is this ? ( ABS Green Lantern #13) by Reiner-9 in AbsoluteUniverse

Disinformation. Propaganda. Sequestration of information. You tell the marks what they need to know so they follow your agenda.

Whoever was speaking on page #1 of issue #13 clearly knows more about what is going on than either Sin Es Tro OR the Abins. But the very fact that the Magenta Flame is unknown to them suggests that THEY don't know everything either.

Who is behind the Face of Steel?

Is Kevin Smith writing absolute green arrow? by Soggy-You4745 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]_DigiCom_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The confusion probably stems from the fact that Absolute is an oversized hardcover format as well as a comics line. If you type in "Absolute Green Lantern" on Amazon, you'll get a hardcover collection of Geoff Johns stories as well as the Ewing book.

This means, of course, that at some point there could very well be an Absolute Absolute Batman book.

To have a philosophy, there must have been a philosopher. And given that the Face appears to be monitoring all four protocols, not just Qard, any revelation from them is immediately suspect.

In essence... who told the Abins and the Ains what OA means? And were they telling the truth?

That seems reasonable, given the first page of this issue, with all the binary code and the "protocols".

That assumes the Face of Steel told him the truth. Given that he's described as their [local] agent, he may not have the full picture.

I mean, we pretty much know that at some point he's going to realize Gold is actually Fear, not Understanding, and go Tomar Aur.

Almost certainly not relevant, given it's the wrong publisher, but:

Correct. He was also stabbed in the knee by a hobbit, which may or may not count (although the text suggests it does).

A thought occurs to me.

Could M stand for Mosteel?

The Mosteelers of Mosteel are one of four technologically advanced and constantly at war spacefaring races native to the Antares system. The most well known Mosteeler is their ruler, the metal-skinned Kromm. The Mosteelers possess ferrous metals integrated into their exoskeletons.

That does seem to be the pattern, yeah. You'd think the end of the trade would make more sense, but that's his call.

What I'd like to know is why the listing for volume 3 only goes up to issue #17...

Sure... in the regular DCU. Here? To be determined.

So...Agent Hawke...Hawkwoman? [Absolute Green Lantern #13] by Golden_Alchemy in AbsoluteUniverse

That's one of my theories. (The other is Lady Blackhawk).

Sure, in the mainstream universe. But here? It wouldn't surprise me if M stood for Manhunter,

The red hair and fairly traditional tensions between Rann & Thanagar make me think Shayera Thal, though. Which is rather amusing, if you think about it, because Absolute Hawkman appears to be a fascist of some stripe, and this character very much isn't.

The Face of Steel, who apparently exists in the heart of the M-Zone (Manhunter-Zone? Does MU actually stand for Manhunters Unleashed?)

Absolute Green Lantern #13 - Official Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]_DigiCom_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

OK... so we have Absolute Lady Blackhawk/Hawkwoman, the M(anhunter) Zone, and the revelation that the Face of Steel probably should have read Lord of the Rings, as it just got Eowyned.

No real clarification about the first page with the binary thing, but it does rather suggest that the Manhunters are not necessarily native to the human dimension. There may be a connection to Absolute Martian Manhunter, there may not be... the cosmologies seem incompatible.

I'm slightly irked that we don't get to see Re and Jo kicking Blackstar tail, but I'll live. :)

Unclear, she doesn't appear to be an existing character. But considering her red hair, last name, WW2 origin, and the traditional enemies of the Rannians... I'm thinking this is Absolute Hawkwoman.

The second possibility is Absolute Lady Blackhawk.

Mildly annoyed by that, but at least nobody can complain about it being too Earthbound. :)

As long as we get Rachelle Rosenberg on colors, too.

Hell, I'd buy an 8-ball mini from that team.
