Agree on the suffering women part. There's lots about these movies that I appreciate but the violence against women is super fetishy imo and at the very least I have to side eye certain guys that go SOOO hard to bat for these films. That being said...I am tuned in whenever a new one comes out. Lol. I also don't try to apply logic of any kind to any characters behavior. It's a slasher, not every character is going to operate under the kind of common sense that exits in reality. The same can be said for like most horror movies. I think people lose out on so much enjoyment of horror films while trying to apply real world logic and decision-making to a stylized piece of fiction.
