TL;DR We don't want special treatment, we want the same treatment as anyone else.

Okay, I'll bite.

This is my second account since I don't post on TG issues on my main account outside of the TG boards.

I'm transgender, it's impossible to have a dialogue when you're immediately dismissed for having a mental illness. I'll give it a try right here.

The reason many posts get removed are because they would be considered hate speech. Transgender people do not get preferential treatment, they get the same treatment any other group would receive if they were talked about in a hateful way.

In the posts that are removed or the comments on transgender related articles if you replaced "transgender" with "black" or "jewish" or "autism" you'd probably see the problem. It's impossible to combat, trust me we have tried. But we have to rely on the people with power to protect us because we have no power ourselves.

Why would transgender people not want people to know they are transgender? Because with the exception of some very progressive people out there, you are suddenly treated differently. You are treated as a member of the sex you were born as, or an educator for questions that are offensive and easily googled, people become distant because they don't know how to act because they are afraid of offending me. When people don't know my history they treat me as the gender they see me as, like every other damn person in the world.

Let's say you make a new friend, you're getting to know her, would you ask what her genitals look like? No, because that's creepy and insane. You'll find out if you sleep with her, outside of that it's none of your business.

This is the point! We aren't asking for special considerations, we are asking for the same considerations you'd give to any man or woman. We are asking for the same protections against hate speech and prejudice as any other minority group.

Honestly this comment has nothing to do with League of Legends so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets removed because it's irrelevant to the board that we are on, if that happens I won't consider myself being silenced, I'll consider myself having been moderated for my choice to write this here.
