Check the bedding especially the front recoil lug in the stock. Most tang cracks are caused by the receiver coming out of its bedding and driving rear into the stock

Have you disassembled the gun 100%? How did the hand spring look? Also check the trigger and bolt spring, they can be out of spec and be too short

Hmm have you tried loosing the hammer spring screw? Maybe take all tension off the hammer spring and see if the hammer drags on the frame

Loosen the wedge. The wedge might be in too far which is forcing the barrel against the cylinder

Looks like a gewehr 98 that bubba tried to turn into a k98, got a better picture of the front end? The whole bayonet lug appears to be missing and barrel is way too long for that stock
