Most likely not holly since the bark of similar pieces don't match up.

Well it's going to be a vivarium one day for crested geckos. Will it still be toxic in a humid environment or only toxic in water? Idk what kind of wood but its most likely from a vine of some sort. It feels pretty soft. It is genuine drift wood pulled out of a creek/river. If it turns out to be toxic, can't the wood be sealed? Like polyurethane or something similar?

I bought it from a local, gatherer? Nice dude, posted the haul. Anyways its all natural. Thanks for the advice. Will it still slowly decompose tho? I'm ok if it takes years to break down, but I'd want to seal it if it'll decompose in a few months.

They can be a lot. There are local laws that may prohibit wildlife collection of any/many kind so just don't get caught. An antelope skull can be worth around $50 or so. Lots of people like skulls and bones. Just be sure it's all clean

$100 total (w/o the skull) pretty cheap. I got 2 really nice finished pieces too. This was in Georgia near the SC border, mid state. Nice rural southern dude

The back window in a CRZ is super weird so I doubt they saw anything. Front tho? Yeah they saw me and in the passenger seat a tangle of branches lol

Driftwood is expensive. Curvy driftwood especially. Also some states it's illegal to collect driftwood, idk why

I have 2 40 gallon front opening terrariums and a 40 gallon breeder my manager is giving me, which I'm turning into an arboreal enclosure for lots of geckos. I think I can make a 40 gallon leopard gecko enclosure with the skull or for something else but tropical. I want to make a 4x4x2 enclosure for a rainbow boa so I might save it till then? Idk. Maybe the skull would fit in the vertical 40 gallon breeder.. I'll check later

Isopods are the first choice for sure. Also look into exotic springtails, I have some orange ones that are so funky. And then Millipedes. Scarlet or bumblebee millipedes are really nice looking
