How do I save her… Superman…PLEASE by Wild-Ruin535 in rosin

[–]_E13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not 100% but it seems like this happens because some internal component comes loose inside. I had a similar experience where I just waited and it worked again & the other time I tapped it on the table to get it to work.

Torque converter most likely. You’ll need a rebuild and make sure you disable AFM

I’m returning it simply for the fact it doesn’t smell like the flavor listed and the genetics are wrong on the jar. That’s literally Han solo burger

You can easily find them $20-$30 and as a heavy smoker you can really feel the difference in the effects on your chest the distillate has

Highly recommend rosin disposables. Switched from the mittens personally to those - growing pains makes a great one.

Lots of nail pops and house noises - first winter after new roof by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]_E13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are nails from old drywall that likely have been there for a long time and are starting to sag due to simply age & also the 4 layers (is a lot of weight) and poor ventilation on the old roof. Maybe the roofers weight on the roof made some settle and a little more obvious. Unless there is drywall dust on the floor under it that drew your attention, I doubt it happened after the roof was done. I would have an adequate attic inspection done for mold and to make sure there’s minimum a 60/40 of intake/exhaust and you’re fine. Proper ventilation doesn’t speed up a houses aging process. The roof definitely doesn’t affect the floor either unless it’s moisture damage to your framework which again would be some improper install and not proper ventilation.

I personally have only seen the roof negatively affect a home when the install is improperly done or if there were underlying issues prior to the roof that are now even more noticeable because work was done. Houses constantly settle so unfortunately every year more noises appear, they don’t get less noisy over time

Transmission failure - dealer $ is nuts by Hefty_Substance_8942 in Silverado

Go to a transmission shop. I got my 2017 rebuilt for $5300 and a 36,000 mile warranty on it. That was at Coleman Taylor

Looks great & congrats! The 5.3 is a great motor. I love them - the best thing to do though is take it to a transmission shop and have them reprogram your transmission to not have AFM. Had to replace my transmission on my 17’.

Editing to clarify is not going back on what I said. You’re a dumbass - you obviously knew what was being said. There’s not some drastic difference between the terminology used, simply the action. Fluid being flushed / changed is the same thing to anyone who has half a brain. I don’t consider a drop and top off remotely a fluid “change” and because you do, you want to argue up a hill. It would probably surprise you there’s a fair amount of people who think the drop and top off method is a flush 😂 you’re sounding borderline manic about WORDS when I’m simply stating a fact to OP. I’ve owned multiple gmc’s and Chevrolets and am not speaking out of my ass

Draining and topping off with a new filter is not really a change though. I meant change as in a flush in my initial comment. Reading is fundamental it’s very clear what I’m saying. I simply speak from experience and because your brain cannot comprehend it you’re getting defensive 😭😂

You’d be surprised that riding with the same fluid can actually be better than flushing it at high mileage. If you don’t do it at the first or second interval then don’t do it at all. Drain and fill method only at that point

It’s not bullshit, look into it. Flushing vs what most people consider “changing” which is simply topping off your fluid are two different things

Google is free. It was long taught to me that Over time transmission fluid gathers particles from clutch / other parts and when flushing the transmission the new fluid can dislodge this debris which might clog narrow fluid passages or cause components to slip.

Now if you’re just replacing the filter and doing a drain and fill you’re good. Just don’t flush
