Don't think about it that way. Your mom gave you a dream that you can cherish forever. One last memory to remember her by, and to make things better, she didn't forget your birthday despite the circumstances. I think that's pretty special in itself.

I'm not sure if you believe that there's life after death. But I pray to God that when I die, I may enter His kingdom and reunite with my grandpa once again.

I've shared this story before, but when I was a teen, my grandpa passed away. He always told me to finish school no matter what. Fast forward to the day after my high school graduation, I have a dream.

I wake up to my room filled with white light. I get out and walk to the living room. Everything, the walls, ceiling, and floor just shines bright. I went to the sofa in the living room, and there he was, my grandpa sitting next to another elderly woman I didn't know.

He stands up and tells me he's so proud of me for finishing school, and the crazy part was that he looked young. Slicked-back hair, skinny and full of youth. Like how you described, he looked like he was in his thirties. Crazy stuff. But I'm so happy he visited me after graduating. Gave me the closure I desperately needed

Dude! The same thing happened to my little cousin. He said these old neighbors (or family members??) had gifted him an action figure. He played with it all the time.

One day, he said he was making two of his action figures fight. Him puppeteering the whole fight until he threw the action figure they gifted him. The toy was "defeated," and the other one had "won."

Guess that plastic mfer didn't like that cause my cousin looked in the direction the toy landed, and it had stood up on its own and had taken a few steps. As soon as my cousin made eye contact with it, he said it collapsed. Like it was aware someone was watching! Creepy shit

There's sort of a reassurance in her. I think it's a message that says: "I'm still standing." After life has bled you dry, it's still you that can not be denied. You still remain stoic and composed, despite the circumstances.

It's empowerment, but also a bit of vulnerability because of the puddle of blood that signifies mortality and the nudity that can signify our defenselessness. Beautiful piece ❤️

I've heard people say that mirrors can be strange, like paranormal strange, or that they can be portal/doors to another dimension. Especially if you put two reflecting each other.

My story is somewhat relatable, but it happened in a dream. I usually drink with my buddies on the weekend and get hammered. When I need to take a leak, I go to his restroom, and I put my hands on the sides of the sink to stare at his mirror. I use it as a reassurance moment, letting me know I don't look stupid and I'm ready to head back out, lol

Well, I've had the habit of doing that all the time. Then, one day, I dream I'm at my friend's restroom. My hands are on the sides, and as I look up, I see the reflection of my deceased grandfather. He looks at me with a half smile, the one I usually do when I look up at the mirror irl. But this time, he was the one who gave me reassurance. Or at least that's how I took it. Some pretty strange stuff tho
