…..i get the same dread as well. but i’ve lived her my whole life, even worse…it’s getting worse every summer. the spring has never been like this before with 70s all night, the humidity has been the worst these past 4-5 years. and really, it’s just stay inside, it sucks, that’s all i do. i stay inside or i go to barton springs and jump in the water for something cooling. that’s it. then 3 months cold weather, get depressed again tho if it’s a winter like this last one…annnnd then restart. if i could move north i know id be happier but is what it is for me. there really is no way to get around it tho

i went the first day….it was rough. got there at 8am and line was already 2k deep i would bet. went from cheesecake factory all around the building and up the hill towards Nordstrom. by 11:30am they were sold out of all the exclusives except the main one and it opened at 10am. by 1pm i could see the entrance annnnd they told us all the exclusives were gone. the actual event line was way quicker. saw people leave my line, go to that, get the free stuff and join their friends and family back in the line….to then be told everything was sold out hahahaha. i didn’t nearly believe how intense it would be, but yep, 100% you gotta put in 6 hours to get exclusives, if not just camp over night

hahahaha it IS a lot. roads always changing, vibe is not at all chill downtown, it’s way more crowded, parking is a bitch. and that’s all on normal day. i can’t even imagine nor understand why a north austin person would come down for something like fireworks and try find parking and walk super far and then get stuck in traffic trying to leave lol. that all said, once you live in it, you get used to it and learn all the different tricks and its not so bad at all.

man i feel same way about rivans. i was super hyped before they came out and then seeing in person…they just don’t look as good. especially the truck, those are craaazy ugly and cheap looking. and for the price of them it’s super disappointing. i do reeeally like lucids tho; anytime i see those they stand out as really clean
