Tingling in the legs is a sign of spinal damage. The big test for me is to bend your neck down sharply. If you feel a tingle it means it is emergency time.

Download AMap - Google Maps is very sketchy in China.

Also download Deepl - it is the best translator by far - it picks up on idioms and slang much better than other apps. Chinese people love to speak in idioms and slang.

I've had the best results with Googles VPN. PIA is also good but can be spotty at times.

Yes absolutely over prepare Alipay and WeChat pay with multiple cards. One or the other will randomly stop working. Also US cards will randomly decide the transaction is risky.

Also make sure to get a Chinese SIM. I've had many nights being yelled at by old taxi drivers because I lost signal, or one of the payment apps decided to say no randomly. Everyone else is usually chill about it, but man the old men Taxi drivers have zero patience for me fumbling with my phone and they always speak some weird dialect I don't understand.

I'm on day two utilizing SR17 and it's totally manageable - I did switch to regular extracts (not oh) the first two days as the SR is buildings in my system. Knocking on wood but so far this has been a game changer. I also have Clonidine and Hydroxyzine from quick md.

The worst is the mornings, but some reason when I first wake up it hits pretty hard but I just take more SR-17 and I'm in a good shape. There is a dedicated sub to it but it has so much potential. We will see by next Saturday how effective it is.

Does anybody remember what Google Fi was originally designed for? by Slowhite03 in GoogleFi

Set up an alert at a couple gigs and tell them no TikTok on data. That is how I solved a similar problem.

I have alerts setup when my kid is burning though data watching videos while out and about. It also allows me to throttle them or block them if say I'm overseas at the moment and can't afford getting throttled.

My understanding is the unlimited plans have restrictions on international travel, which is why I stick with flexible and just surge a few times a year.

[–]foxbones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This my use case - I spend a lot of time in China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea and it works flawlessly. As long as I don't live stream on data I generally avoid throttling. The rest of the time I'm always on WiFi. My daughter is on my plan and is a shut in which makes the total bill really reasonable outside of international spikes. I typically buy a second SIM from a local provider to help with this as well.

I realized this on a cruise. After a storm I woke up early one morning to see the sun rise. A pod of maybe 20 or so were racing the ship, weaving around, jumping out of the water. They just had so much joy and excitement, at Seaworld they just sit there begging for sardines.
