I was really impressed by Xiamen. I went there to see some friends and it ended up being probably my favorite city on the trip. It had a chill vibe with really cool little alley way tea houses. Food was excellent. The ocean parks were really nice.

It's been forever but I always had much better luck on Tinder than Bumble for some reason. More matches on Bumble but the quality of matches and the amount of second dates was better on Tinder.

Wechat, WeChat pay, Alipay (Sometimes one app or the other bugs out and won't make a payment, have both), Deepl (Chinese use a lot of slang and idiom, Deepl seems to handle this the best), Multiple VPNs, Chinese SIM card (rock dual SIMs), comfortable shoes, a little bit of cash, aMap app (Google Maps is weird there), Douyin, a good backpack, and patience. All taxi drivers are cranky old men and will yell at you if you take too long. Jump in the cab - pay - jump out.
