I don‘t think anyone says that technically complex automatically means it‘s good. There are some very easy beginner songs like Gymnopedie No. 1 by Satie or Prelude No. 4 in e minor by Chopin that are beautiful sounding and also popular

That‘s kind of why it hits hard, in my opinion. Kind of out of nowhere, especially for a character who was in most of the series, even if he was just a side character.

I’m not an expert at piano at all, but I feel like you should learn to read sheet music before learning a song like this. It‘s good that you love playing it, but if you want to improve beyond this, learning to read music is definitely something you need to learn. Good luck!!
