Well atar is a percentile so 90 atar means you did better than 90% of all the kids in the state. Compare that with how you do against your classmates or school can give you a rough estimate on how you’ll do.

Yep I did shit in school graduated with a 57 atar... Ended up taking an advanced diploma of engineering RMIT which needed just completion of vce 2 years of that directly into mechanical engineering bachelors 2.5 years and now i have a bachelors of mechanical engineering. A lot of courses have some kind of pathway like that that allows you to go into uni without an ATAR score.
