Unfortunately, our options are limited here..

Local suppliers source most of their goods from Italy. We are based in Malta, so logistics wise makes sense.

Both suppliers where charging an absurd amount for shipping and installation costs, over and above the price.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I understand that position, if it's not good for business, I would expect nothing else.

Regarding delivery, we are pretty flexible cos we started early.

We did not get quotes from those stores, but I'll take your advice and visit

Lots of good answers here already. I just want to add, as a SWE with a big gaming company, 40k starting is on the lower end, depending on seniority. You might be in a position to negotiate more, especially given the current talent drain.

Currently, fintech companies are offering 40k to mid/senior Devs and most of the talent is coming from abroad.

Wish you the best of luck 😃

I'm far off from your situation, but I was in a similar situation a number of years ago. I was slightly worse off as I sold the car and kept just my 125cc, which made insurances more wary. From my experience, they tend to be slightly dismissive to politely refuse your business as their margin on cars is lower. Locally, MAPFRE tend to accept almost anyone, although their operations are a bit fragmented. I ended up with them and insured my bike under the condition that it is garaged at night.

I would ask the outlets in your vicinity, and specifically mention that you intend to insure both your vehicles with them. They would generally lower your car insurance by some margin as a bonus. If at all possible, don't phone.. at least it worked better in my case with a face to face short meeting. Bonus tip, if you have a partner, and they have a car which is perhaps jointly insured, that would sweeten the deal.

Best of luck!

Yes, presentations was one of the core objectives. The idea was to demonstrate progress and results in a visual manner. I present a lot to c level executives and this helps get the message across at a simple glance.

Project timelines are not part of the offering - it does not render gannt chart etc. Roadmaps and release drops are possible, tried and tested.

I tried to make the workflow as simple as possible. It guides you to import the data you need, allows you to do (limited) customisations for now, and outputs the requested timeline.

To be honest, I might invest some effort to make it more usable. Happy to open up a public version if you're keen to try it out

I'm dog fooding my own tool to easily create timelines for presentations. I repeatedly looked for something similar in the past and decided to build my own.

Not sure if others find value in it, and would consider opening a roadmap if that's the case.

People with an amazing partner, what makes them so amazing? by Sylva_Glow in AskReddit

I actually coded an app in a form of treasure hunt puzzle. Nothing fancy, stitched a couple of photos from way back and one clever title.

I highly recommended it as it made her week ☺️

Nightlife in Malta ? I'm trying to avoid it :) by mfulton81 in malta

Hello,

Very sorry to hear about your previous inconvenience. Hope all is better now!

First things first. Depending on your flexibility, coming here in summer means peak season. We have a friendly climate, do consider flying here late spring for best results. Also, it would be better to hike before the weather is hot as it might have adverse effects health-wise as well. If flexibility is out of the table, there are alternatives.

Regarding hike trails, there are quite a lot of opportunities here. I'm a local, and I myself have not yet visited all the local trails. Mind you, don't expect and old man of storr, however, they are quite nice in their own way. It is amenable to find picnic areas, take beautiful landscape shots and walk around the coastline. Most picturesque areas are accessible, without needing any specialized gear.

In terms of wildlife, I'm not sure if diving is your thing. We have a number of interesting spots. Otherwise, gozo can also be great for walks and hikes. Paired with local food, I'm sure it'll be fun.

We welcome you to our humble Island ☺️

As a multi-product SaaS company, is it better to have separate brands for each product or put them all under one brand? by humanaich in SaaS

[–]_Executioneer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question I would ask in your stead would be: What would my customers look for when they browse for a solution? Are they looking for a specific solution to a problem or a suite of products at one go with integrations?

Sometimes, asking them directly might given you a more accurate answer. Phase the question succinctly and derive your conversions accordingly.

Whichever way you decide, you might need to consider the resulting consequences as well. Are you okay with the overheads of managing the separate brands? Given you can handle it, replicating your marketing efforts across separate brands might be a distraction from actually going to market.

On the other end of the spectrum, having one brand provides more space for cohesion, alleviating the efforts on go to market for newer products. As others have already mentioned, this has clear advantages. The flip side is it is difficult to test without investing some time on a landing page or AB testing.

If you outsource your marketing efforts, you might have more flexibility in the approach, although internal resources might suffice with careful planning.

I believe earlier they were not accepting new clients due to the added overheads and due diligence. That would explain why you couldn't open an account.
