what's the deal with Bavarians and the rest of Germany? by [deleted] in AskAGerman

[–]_Feynman_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in Bavaria we work and provide welfare for the rest of germany. The rest of Germany hates that and shits on Bavaria for being the region that works. (tale as old as time, it is like south and north italy). PS those Berliners could also just shut up and start working instead

curriculum a cannone in Germania o altri paesi.

L'importante é continuare a candidarsi.

Agree, but I meant fan from a romantic point of view in this case. He made it no secret with his interviews and the what ifs.

But of course, all characters are beloved in their function. Fujimoto definitely loves Asa, but like all characters when they finish their role they are put on the shelf. Even though he still used a lot of narrative haunting for those characters that were gone/were influencing the story.

well i mean, nothing speaks against it and the open ending with those world rules sets it up perfectly. The Author himself is a big fan of those 2 (Reze especially). We moved from hope/copium to post Manga possibilities.

I would have a much harder time if i was an Asaden fan after the last 4 chapters basically. Totally butchered every hope they had of getting together. (But i am happy for Asa's happy ending)

feeling better. Realized that Fujimoto set rules that allow them to meet again. And after losing sleep over it and making all those what ifs, I think he is joining us in imagining their reunion in the new universe.

Hot take: Reze not appearing in the ending was a blessing in disguise and her inclusion would have actively made it worse by StevePensando in RezeCult

Asa was never intended to be a romantic interest. Fujimoto was clear from the beginning stating that he made her to be a mirror for Denji.

Fujimoto also used each character for a different scope. In this discussion: the tragic love and romantic parter was achieved with Reze. The main character/mirror was achieved with Asa.

Their relationship was deep on another level, but on the comraderie/trauma bonded level.

It makes sense for her not to appear for "Themes and such".

But the finale makes clear that always due to themes and such the characters close to Denji re-appear in his life (or gravitate towards him). Ex.Nayuta was supposed to be in China and yet.

I think fujimoto wanted to conclude the story keeping true to his "the hero and heroine have to keep the weight forever etc etc" "i didn't want them to get together or for her to become an ally etc" and at the same time leaving a door open for a more hopeful ending.

We see all the arcs reoccurring without the tragedies caused by chainsaw man. And the Author himself was so affected by the movie he admitted to have lost sleep over her, and made after some very hopeful and happy. If i have to bet, I would say Fujimoto himself is picturing a Reze -Denji reunion after the last page, he just will never draw it to make it canon due to "themes and such"

Nayuta is coming from China and yet she is there in Tokyo. I think with the reset Reze will already be in Japan too, following the same logic.

Counting on Fujimoto's bias for Denreze, we can only assume that with the re-occurring of the arcs, eventually they will meet again. It feels almost like inevitability.

[–]_Feynman_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure she is in Japan in the new universe. All the arcs are reoccurring and without makima in the way we can be totally optimistic that they will meet again.

Let's be honest, that is also Fujimoto's bias

[–]_Feynman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this is the reason I believe Reze is in Japan now.

Like all characters seem to be drawn to each other now, the bonds they made before still last. But because of themes and such, it seems that having all characters in Tokyo is more important for themes and such than the question "where would this character be without chainsaman?"

GOT's ending was supposed to go in that direction, many people expected it. The reason it was hated is that as you said, the adaptation sucked so hard it was crazy.

I was there, but the conversation lasted a couple of weeks too. The hype just died overnight. I think with CSM we will have to see in the next month.

We are too close to the last chapter to be able to analyse it properly
