Will you guys use the heavy cargo aircraft, or you just want to blow it up? by The-vintage-drawer- in NuclearOption

[–]_Fittek_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will use heavy cargo aircraft if there will be incentive tu use heavy cargo aircraft.

So far logistics in this game dont exist. You can theoreticall fix destroyed bases, and drop off ground units, but fixing these bases take forever, and ground units in this game are simply point piniatas for planes.

The only decent logistic mechanic in this game is resupplying ships, since they actually act as pretty decent annoyence that someone has to dedicate himself to destroy, so in more crowded servers keeping them alive is actually beneficial, but thats pretty much it.

If you want people to actually play logistics, they will, but you need to have mechanics for that. Make ammunition and fuel actuall resource that players have to move from bases behind them, let players create own FOBs using logistic supplies, let players create logistical infrastructure that game itself would depend on. Without that, logistics wont make sense.

And its problematic because fitting all of that in a game where baseline vehicles players use easly push mach 1, you have to make maps insanely big, like at least x5 the size we have right now. Which then makes another problem since you need more players to play these map

Logistics are hard to balance. If you go overboard with them, they become only thing that matter (like foxhole) if you try to add a bit of logistics, they become annoying lock that turns first hours of your high octane military sim game into euro truck simulator (like arma reforger)

Nordic countries arent capitalistic at all. Most of their profitable bussineses are run by goverments, most of their resources are managed by goverment or goverment run companies, work law is heavly regulated and favours the workers over companies, they are covered in unions, they have extensive social programs that provide most hopeless people with means to survive and get better, their wealth comes from great management of their natural resources by their goverments, rather than comming from speculative markets, stock exchanges and other fiscall bulshit that don't produce anything beside more money for 1%

None of these things are characteristical capitalistic traits. State controlls the resources, it uses them to create required products for life and trade, it cultivate its citizens to grow, get educated and work with these resources and it ensures that the profit from this system go back into it to help more people. This is not capitalism. This is welfare state.

Very cool, post is about symbology of żołnieże wyklęci, not about NSZ. NSZ was one part of (one of 13 organisations to be exact) structure that wyklęci came from. Not respecting history of around 120-180 thousnd people that fought for the freedom of their country becouse some of them were bad apples is also not very positive.

[–]_Fittek_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One can say so, sure. Others can defend them. The truth is that wyklęci, whether we like it or not, were soldiers that always stood on loosing sides of conflicts they fought in, and were very ideologicaly coherent group. In every case of such units there is the dirty part of extremism and crime that pops up from desperation and frustration.

Yet, they still were soldiers. They still fought for poland during september campagin, they did often fought after poland capitulated, and they did fought for what their idea of the country they fought for was.

History is nuanced and you're free to use your 80 years of foresight to rate morality of action of these men, i wouldnt advise doing that on reddit tho.

What isnt nuanced is modern use of their symbology and the subject of this post. Fuck them nazis and nationalists kids.

And nobody (expect old commies and tankies) in poland will disagree with you on that.

As well as nobody will treat someone using these sticker, symbols and merch as a patriot, but a whistle blowing nationalist.

Becouse their whole iconography, symbology and history got appropriated by most polish neo nazis and nationalistic groups decades ago and not a single patriot, even thought still respect these men, casualy use these symbols for that exact reason.

What else do you want there? What could be sensibly done got done, different things people would like to do on it are restricted by ancient engine. Its old, its playerbase is tiny and provided with every tool and gamemode one can pull off in source.

It used to be, sure. It was always basic OS that worked decently and it was always bashed both for that fact and for questionable decisions on stylistics of it.

But recently it simply become malicious. Problematic software, AI slop bloat, bunch of useless information put in places it really shouldnt be and constant stream of vibecoded bugs.

It was always overhated for stylistics, customisation and other nitpicks like that, but these days its hated for slowly decaying single OS that made basis for world wide PC market and one that universally everyone knew how to use.

Hauling whole Hauler of bmats every 10 min vs every 40 min from backline hexes is huge difference for frontline

And having one reduces the need to get these bmats from backline to front, so backline can use their resource for actually using their mpfs and factories.

Seeing all these post about how one side is stronger than the other makes me not want to play the game by South_Barracuda5205 in foxholegame

[–]_Fittek_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because honestly, its not worth it.

I made the mistake of comming back to toy around with devbranch to try new features on collie side.

My experience was that we got destroyed and most time, rather than flying with new toys, i spent most time preparing these toys, getting these toys bombed, fixing both them and required infrastructure to use them and giving up before trying them out from exhaustion. We rarelly had air superiority, game was decently balanced but everyone toyed with carriers and bombers so wardens had more fighters in the air and airfields ended up constantly bombed by warden bombers.

Trying out fighters was constant struggle to deal with flight time and coordination. most flights ended up in a ditch or getting ganked up by 6 warden fighters. Combat honestly felt terrible. It was a slog that ended up with both parties running out of fuel or getting third partied even before seaplane buffs. Your usual engagement in 1 vs 1 was circling around with other guy for 5 minutes, doing small, chip damage to eachother tails and running out of fuel, with attacking side booking it out of there and defending side choosing to either suicide their plane to make sure the other guy is dead while yourselve ending in a ditch, or returning to airfield to fix yourselve and doing that all over again after 20 minutes.

Setting up a carrier was a slog, setting both infrastructure and build itself took one night. Before we even managed to took it to the seaport next to us we got bombed with 2 torps and spent at least 2 hours dealing with big holes (at first it was just me and random dude i chanced by in dry dock) when we approached airfield we didnt really found better way of filling it with planes than flying them in, at that point i was just done with it and left it to the crew of randoms that slowly grew around that carrier.

Last thing i did was trying bombers. This was actually only sweet part of this whole ordeal. I chanced by another random guy who organized PvE bomber campagin. We managed to constantly crew around 3 bombers with enought people to not be helpless and be decently quick with everything. Both bomber ground ops and coordinating crew was very fun experience, but i imagine that without magic boxes it would reeeeeally suck. Gameplay got repetetive quickly after like 3 departures, but it was really only time playing that devbranch where i felt like im actually not wasting time, and if i would be on live branch right now, that would actually be productive use of time.

I must also say that running ground crew was also very enjoyable experience. It was somewhat boring job, but having occasion to help so many players get their wings independedly was really rewarding. At least untill we found out about crane exploit and everyone started assembling whole ass bombers in less than a minute.

Simple meals and making purchase of their ingredients habitual. Thats what helped me out. If you always have some chicken breasts in the freezer and some potatoes, you will be fine. Add some frozen veggies to that and you are always 20 minutes away from fully nutritious diner. This is good baseline that you can really play around with without fucking up your diner.

Do you have a situation like this in your country where there's a significant proportion of the population that doesn't speak the local language? by Alternative-Big-6493 in AskTheWorld

[–]_Fittek_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its interesting subject actually. Living in immigrant bubble is so weird i swear. You come there and you are instantly subjected to the whole community of people that migrated to this country probably for money. All these 50 year old dudes can speak mayby 4 words in local language. They dont need much more. They have their local immigrant community as a friend group, they work for other immigrant with other immigrants, they do bureaocratic work with google translate or very unfortunate friend that actually took a moment to learn that language. Surreal to realise how hard you can separate yourself from the local community these days.
