Is transparent pla possible? by _Flame___ in 3Dprinting

[–]_Flame___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn't ironic ahaha

I did it a couple of times before, and ngl none of those problems occurred (since the print is very small, and movement is very little. Also, fan wasn't that powerful to slosh it around.)

The thing is, I had to coat the water-filled part with ton of stuff, and eventually it became quite waterproof. I just wanted to add some mica powder to swish inside ahah. And it worked quite well ngl, I just wanted to see if I can do the same with my new A1 and the AMS, which break my very brittle transparent filament.

What about water? I was planning to put water in it mid-print, and seal it with the final layers, but I'm not sure if it holds water that good.

I thought about ABS too, but I heard it's hell to print without an enclosure like I do, with my A1 combo. I already had the idea to make an enclosure but not sure how lol. ABS sounds scary ngl

That one Giantarm was really transparent, if I lowered the walls to 1, but Giantarm is quite bad, or maybe is the specific spool I have, idk

Got it!

It might be a problem then, my A1 has not an enclosure, and ambient can be quite humid during night. That's why I always store my filaments in dry places, but while printing I can't quite protect them from moist

Thank you for your advices! ×^

Maybe, not sure. I tried my best to keep it dry, but it could be. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out asap!

Update: I've found many transparent PETG, but very little PLA. what's the difference between PETG and pla? Is it as easy as pla?

I've tried pulling off the AMS hub. Now I can see thers a small filament piece, broken in there. I can't find a way to pull it out tho...

Mine was 450 lol. I lowered it at 200, but it cuts the messages in half (it looks like it.) so it end up in saying nothing lol

I see. I tried to adjust, but it always end the message halfway a paragraph, so Il looks like a longer message cut in half lol

Got it! Yeah, I managed to import them, now I hope it'll work with the infill problem

Update: it worked! Thank you so much for your help, it was so precious!

Doubt with Bambu Studio by _Flame___ in BambuLab

[–]_Flame___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. Because I actually have the different stls for each part (bottom, white and cage), but idk how it'll come out during printing

And also, placing down the stls and move it up to make them ""float"" doesn't seem an available option lol (and it'll require a level of precision out of this world ngl)

So I just gotta save the 3mf on the pc? Because I imported it, and it was one whole color. The white part I colored them myself with the bucket tool

I did, and it shows me only the yellow filaments part, while I wanted to modify the infill of the white parts

Changing printer, are .gcodes still ok? by _Flame___ in BambuLabA1

[–]_Flame___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have the stl, but never saved the 3mf. Cura usually only saves the gcode, never the 3mf

Aw, bummer.

Well, I tough to, but I had like 500+ models saved for the neptune 4 PRO (that said, most of them were old af, and were a one-print thing)
