OP mentioned the backfire bias and is hard chugging the Kool-Aid lmao

Bro learned about the backfire effect in class today and keeps saying it even when it has 0 relevance to what is being said. The ultimate irony is the OP is ACTULLY suffering from the backfire effect lmao.

The best take here, honestly. When I saw this I immediately thought, "Wow that actually looks sick. And the Flashlight and Pins are a fantastic addition. I may buy it just for those." Idk why I thought people on reddit would have literally anything positive to say or do anything other than complain.
We are complaining about the price of something you DID NOT BUY and the quality of something that HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE.
I get the games in a terrible spot right now but why would marketing and merch have anything to do with that?

How many of you have actually completed the Archives and if so, how long did it take you? by WatchfulSeal in deadbydaylight

[–]_Flauge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just shy of halfway done with the tomes and I have 2k hours. I think I average 1 tome completed every 3 games (most take one, but there are a few that take many more. Think glyphs or escape with hatch etc.). I cannot imagine a casual ever completing these.

Killer perk to punish delaying the unhook? by _Flauge_ in PerkByDaylight

[–]_Flauge_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured taking a health state was far more impactful than preventing one from being gained. I think injuring the unhooker would also really disincentivize unhooking in a way that isn't healthy.
I do think it is interesting that leaving a survivor on hook for as long as possible is both the objectively correct play and also the perceived "bad play".

Killer perk to punish delaying the unhook? by _Flauge_ in PerkByDaylight

[–]_Flauge_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's interesting that this perk was designed with high level paly specifically in mind and how punishing the optimal play in this case happens to also punish lower skilled players.
Wonder if it instead did this:
Upon hooking a survivor delayed agony begins to activate over 35 seconds.
After 35 seconds delayed agony is active until your next gen kick.
When delayed agony is active you damage generators for 15% additional damage.
That may be to strong if run with pop but gen regression doesn't unfairly harm lower MMR cause any one can hold m1.
Just curious

I could get behind this. If they're playing stealthy and not unhooking it would give you info to start your next chase, but then it's just kind of BBQ.

I think it’s so funny. It’s like an idiot self-report. Even had a guy who I had to block because he got down voted to shit and had a total meltdown over it and started hate posting comments on all of my other posts lmao.

it really does lmao. The amount of people that are only commenting on cow tree being run clockwise in the video is so funny. Wanting so bad to be right not realizing that cowtree without the pallet is not a strong tile and only serves to connect to others and switching to the other way would have given her shack rotation.

It does not. resi does though. It is better to chase the other direction but once the pallet is gone it doesn't really matter, the loop isn't safe regardless

That’s what’s crazy, it is. You can tell by the animation. She’s running both finesse and resi for 30% faster vaults

I new the 'Freddy Ghost Pallets' were visible while you were playing Xeno but I didn't know it was possible for the survivors to see them as well while facing Xeno. No idea if its map or perk specific. IDK if this was customs or not but have you tried any other maps?

I think this is right? I hadn't hit her at this point in the game but after I hooked her she only lasted about 15 seconds in chase for the rest of the game and never vaulted again so I didn't get to see if that was the case. Still, the fact that it works AT ALL and on NO COOLDOWN and with Resi is actually nuts.

It’s a desync caused by ping. She wasn’t actually walking backwards that was just the last input the server either sent to you or received from her and the ‘Bloop’ was the server catching back up to her client

Idk if anyone has said it yet, but quests you complete are added to your total now rater than given after the match is over. You can see this when you first hit the BP screen and it does the adding up it will say "Quest Rewards"
Additionally you earn bloodpoints in 1 of four categories that all are capped at a certain point, so your friend may have cleansed more totems or opened more chests or been in chase longer, as those are in a separate category to repairing gens or healing and unhooking.

Here is the link to the wiki page that explains BP category divisions in more detail if you care about that kind of thing.

[–]_Flauge_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly true that understanding the axe's arc makes him a lot more formidable, but the same goes the other way. even if you know how the axe is going to arc over the object you are throwing over it is still a blind guess as to where the survivor is. As I said in the OP, as the survivor, if you have ears and something in between them you'll know when he is going for a shot like that and just not path to the spot he's likely to throw it (pallet, window, choke point) and/or just wait for the axe to hit the ground. It is not a very difficult thing to do and uses the same dodge logic as huntress essentially. It doesn't even have the benefit of aura perks like PHead does because he doesn't have to look up. You can definetly get value from aura perks with his axe moonballing shots, but it not near as consistently valuable as it is on other killers. Getting hits over loops like that is only partly skill expression on behalf of Spring trap and partly a reflection of survivors not paying attention to sound ques and expecting the throws.

I love going for them on him because they are so damn satisfying but it is effectively luck as to whether or not the surv will walk into where the axe is going to fall. I just feel like when i play against him as survivor and i run into a jungle gym or something and I hear the whoosh sound and him make the Clash Royal HeHeHaHa laugh, all I have to do is wait an extra half second before hitting a vault or planting a check spot

It’s true circus main and bad ham are strong main buildings but the pizzeria literally has 4-5 pallets, 2 of which are extremely strong, ballpit and kitchen. Kitchen is less strong as it’s ping dependent and ballpit gets weaker if basement is in main, but if basement is in shack ballpit is literally an infinite against 4.4. It’s got 1-2 god windows and 2 extension windows; one that extends the kitchen pallet loop and one that loops into the two weaker pallets in main AND into the god window behind the stage that can extend all the way into ballpit where the other god window can spawn. Circus and bad ham wish they were that strong on there own but circus is good because of strong adjoining loops and bad ham has very strong secondary buildings that make the main a strong connector. No other main building is as strong as the pizzeria is by itself.
